MYS CTSM KL Fund Accounting Governance Lead

Locations: Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Lumpur Job Function: Accounting Employee Status: Regular Job ID: 19138590

Responsibilities:

  • Periodically connect with various fund accounting sites in APAC and collate KPI data for management information, client reporting and internal reporting
  • Collate and manage all resourcing related requests for approvals, turnover, savings for the region.  Provide monthly reporting on staffing status for each site and region.
  • Collect and review all new staffing requests (includes new deal), prior to APAC Deal Review
  • Lead standardization on client presentations and ensure reporting requirements are implemented as agreed with clients
  • Ensure the preparation, collation and distribution of agendas, meeting information packs, minutes and reports and managing subsequent actions for external and internal meetings
  • Implement global reporting solutions in APAC to standardize management information solutions
  • Manage the Risk and Control agenda including audits, interfacing with internal and external auditors, and identifying process gaps
  • Coordinate with senior stakeholders of APAC fund accounting sites for internal and external meetings
  • Establish robust governance model across APAC fund accounting sites on collaboration, best practices sharing and other relevant key statistics

Qualifications and Skillsets:

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in fund accounting fundamentals
  • Previous experience of working in a governance position and supporting stakeholder or senior management committees in their efficient operation
  • Awareness of the principles of effective project management, risk mitigation, risk management and governance
  • Understanding of business metrics and KPIs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to work collaboratively
  • Able to find pragmatic solutions, seek improvements, and adapt to changing situations
  • Able to present information, verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner, with excellent attention to detail
  • Positive “can do” attitude and willingness to support others where needed
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent IT skills, with thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent information management skills and ability to develop and manage systems for recording and storing information and data
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, manage own workload and taking responsibility for achieving results
