  • The TTS In-business Risk & Control (IBC) organization is primarily responsible to work very closely with product to monitor, maintain and enhance the robust risk & control framework that enables effective risk & control identification, mitigation, escalation and execution of enhancement.
  • The Risk & Control Business officer role forms part of the AP TTS In-business Risk & Control team and will reports directly to the AP TTS IBC Head.
  • In the last several years, TTS has been at the forefront of multiple technology & digital innovations in all our products, processes and services. That’s clearly helped us deliver the best to our clients & retain our leadership position. However, these changes have brought in new and different risks to our businesses. The IBC function needs to keep pace with changes and be able to identify the new technology & digital risks upfront, suggest automated and systemic controls and implement automated, real time, artificial intelligence (AI) & Machine learning based monitoring tools.
  • Majority of our MCA testing tools are manual, and sample based. Digitizing monitoring tools (DMT’s) will help us cover the whole population, focus on outliers, reduce staffing efforts, and ensure quicker identification of issues.
  • Many operations risk events in the recent past are a result of technology breaks and issues. While our technology teams resolve these issues, the IBC team in the front office needs to understand the technology issue and make sure that the root caused is adequately addressed.   
  • The incumbent will coordinate the above activities with our TTS Technology team and work with product, operations & countries IBCs to improve our risk & control environment across TTS Asia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The candidate will work with the TTS IBC SIRR coordinator to ensure that all technology risks are adequately identified and mitigated for new/ changes to product & processes.

  • He/ she will also review any technology risk events and CAPs to ensure that the root causes are adequately identified and remediated.

  • The candidate will work with the country IBCs and identify manual monitoring tools in the MCA which can be automated and digitized. He/ she will work with various technology teams and help automate them on priority basis.

  • The incumbent will also work on automating KPI/ KRI and work on forwarding looking indicators using AI/ machine learning techniques.

  • The incumbent will also be responsible for training of the relevant IBC staff on technology risks and automation tools & techniques.

  • The incumbent will work in partnership with TTS technology and coordinate the above activities across products & countries and will interact closely with other IBCs, product managers & operations. This includes Global and Regional partners.

  • Work closely with the business management to ensure adequate support is provided as regards resources and budget

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 6 years of experience preferably gained from working in technology in the financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of TTS technology & systems i.e. Cash Management, Trade, Commercial Cards, and Payments & Receivable is a plus.
  • Knowledge of TTS products & processes is an added advantage
  • Background of working in technology Risk & Control areas with an eye for identifying and mitigating technology risks will help.
