Consumer banking - Wealth Management Product Control Manager

Responsibilities:

• Perform end-to-end process reviews on the new business initiatives, and assist Business Team Members (e.g. Product Managers or Project Owners) on the risk identification and control design at early stage.
• Prepare risk rating assessments and other required artifacts for submission to Product Approval Committee, ensuring completeness as per internal policies and standards and that all relevant risks are identified, and controls and mitigants are noted.
• Assist the Business Team Members to liaise with representatives from different risk types/ control areas, including fraud risk, credit risk, operational risk, liquidity risk, technology risk, legal risk, reputational risk and regulatory risk
• Track the project status to ensure the approval conditions are satisfied before launch/ within the time period stated in the conditions, also prepare post-implementation reviews after the commencement of approved activities.
• Ensure that new or modified products and services undergo a consistent, rigorous, documented and auditable review and approval process for the identification and evaluation of significant risks to Citi and its clients. 
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years’ experience in retail banking products, preferably with exposure to control aspects or new product governance
• Experience in retail investment products or digital banking is an advantage Project management experience is an advantage
• Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Sound knowledge in MS word / Excel / PowerPoint, Excel Macro is a definite advantage

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
