- The Client Service Senior Mgr. leads the client services team managing domestic, regional and global clients, accomplishing results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approval.
Responsibilities:
- This role will manage client queries through integration and coordination with internal teams and department. Will also act as escalation points for clients and teams under purview as appropriate. The expectation for this role is to predominantly manage APAC and China based clients.
- Subject matter expert for Custody related enquiries, driving improvements, efficiency, scale and increase service delivery levels to clients
- Include revisions of communications, notifications and facilitating client service watches/external updates to clients
- Coordinate with internal upstream and downstream departments and functions, Operations teams, Product, Middle Office, external market participants, vendors for solutions and delivering best in class service
- Responsible to manage functions such as technology and non-technology projects, financial and business initiatives
- Build key relationships within all levels of the organization
- Manage and communicate timeliness and deliverables to all members of the team
- Manage senior management presentations, conference calls
- Provide status reports to include current and next action steps, tasks, documents and information
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
- Develop and implement effective policies and procedures to ensure timely, accurate, cost effective and customer service meets or exceeds client expectations
- Responsible for delivery of end results, shared responsibility for budget management and accountable for resource planning
Qualifications:
- Basic degree with 8 -10 years of relevant experience including 3-4 years of management experience
- Strong interpersonal skills and works well with others
- Excellent knowledge of bank's processes and strong learning ability
- Excellent customer service orientation and commitment to service excellence
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent quality management orientation and possesses strong process improvement orientation
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Maintains a high level of professionalism and credibility in dealing with customers
- Displays strong results orientation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and a high degree of expertise in a wide range of products across all product categories
- Excellent influencing skills
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Proactive e.g.. Anticipates problems and looks for viable solutions rather than wait or rely on others for direction
- Able to interact confidently with people at all levels of the management
- Mature, professional, and objective when dealing with others . E.g. gets along with others even when differences of opinion exist or an issue is being confronted, sees all sides of an issue, and integrates others' input into own way of thinking
- Ability to make decisions that balance and factors a range of goals that may in some instances be conflicting
- Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
