Citi is currently seeking a Third Party Risk Data Governance Analyst, supporting the Third Party Risk Management Team within the Institutional Clients Group (ICG) organization. In this role, the candidate will have the responsibility and accountability to collect and report third party data elements necessary to track and maintain third party risk within risk tolerance levels. This role is also responsible for supporting the definition, implementation, and overseeing execution of Third-Party Risk Management processes and associated Third Party control requirements across ICG globally. TPRM focuses on organizational structure, processes, and tools to support the TPRM operating model.

The Third Party Risk Data Governance Analyst is a seasoned professional that applies analytical techniques to assemble and refine third party data from several sources, and craft presentations/messages that are easily understood across all levels within the organization. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge of operational risk to identify and document breaches and trends as wells to develop new techniques and improve the current processes and workflows. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.


  • Work closely with Enterprise Organization and ICG Lines of Business to collect, understand and analyze third party data and identify and report any areas outside of established thresholds, including Key Indicators, Operational Losses, Issues, etc.
  • Prepare updates to the quarterly ICG Third Party Risk Appetite Assessment for Citi stakeholders and ICG Risk and Control Management
  • Assist in preparing presentation for several third party Steering Committees and Working Groups to drive effective third party risk governance
  • Monitor and manage appropriate metrics to assess ICG compliance with implemented frameworks, regulation and risk appetite
  • Participates in the application of operational risk policies, technology and tools, and governance processes to create lasting solutions for minimizing losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.
  • Evaluates the control environment by ensuring appropriate controls are in place.
  • Ensures project completion, special assignments, and other ad hoc activities as required.
  • Ensures the Operations Team is in compliance with all regulatory policies and procedures.

  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Acts as third party SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


  • 5-8 years relevant experience
  • Detail-oriented in managing, navigating through and reporting third party data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment collaborating across diverse groups
  • Evidence of delivery of results with strong execution skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of operational risk and gap identification
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to present a compelling case to influence others where appropriate


  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

Jersey City Salary Range: $91,960.00 - $137,940.00 USD Annual
