Responsibilities
Senior Tableau Data Analyst is a senior technical level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize in-depth knowledge and skills across multiple Applications Development areas to provide technical oversight across systems and applications
- Design and implement distributed data processing pipelines using Spark, Hive, Python, and other tools and languages prevalent in the Hadoop ecosystem. Ability to design and implement end to end solution.
- Understanding business requirement and plan solution to address data needs
- Develop, design, and maintain Tableau dashboards and analytics
- Collect, refine, and prepare data for analytics and visualization
- Manage and utilize the Tableau platform to extract meaningful insights from it
- Prepare reports using various visualization and data modeling methods on Tableau
- Test and publish dashboards and reports and schedule refresh
- Define access controls and implement security measures whenever required
- Drill-down data and prepare reports with utmost accuracy
- Creating wireframes and beta dashboards with a focus on user experience, correctness, and visibility
- Improve overall process in data management, collection, dashboard design, and entire product life-cycle
- Monitoring reports and dashboards and make necessary changes
- Manage Tableau-driven implementations, architecture, and administration
- Actively manage the performance and usability of Tableau to get the desired result
- Review and analyze proposed technical solutions for project
- Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual data in complicated and unique situations
- Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards negotiating with external parties when necessary
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
- 5+ year experience in Big Data technologies
- Experience in designing and developing business intelligence dashboards using Tableau
- Experience in UI, UX space (can be concurrent or overlap with Tableau experience) demonstrable with evidence of using a combination of user interface tools such as wire frames, prototypes, mock-ups, or white boarding to illustrate product usability.
- Experience working with large and complex data set able to write simple queries to create calculated fields.
- Stakeholder and people management experience
- Proven project management skills
- Basic knowledge of industry practices and standards
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
