The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the ownership and management of strategic projects within the Global Trust business to create efficiencies and enhance controls. The position will partner with all parts of the Global Private Bank including Sales teams, Service Managers, Business Managers, Product Managers, Business Risk and function owners. The role will serve as a key interface with our partners across the CPB organization in order to enhance and strengthen our day-to-day operating processes and controls.

The Project Manager will also be responsible for ad hoc deliverables that arise from within the Trust business or from the broader Private Bank; ensuring connectivity and adherence to Private Bank Standards is critical.

The candidate will be a detail oriented strategic thinker with a passion for solving complex problems, who possesses an unrelenting customer obsession and a strong desire to make their mark on the organization. This is a global role and will require schedule flexibility to accommodate different time zones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define solutions within the strategic operating model of the Trust Product within the Private Bank to optimize the client, employee and control experience, focusing on controls and innovation
  • Partner with business leaders in order to understand their processes and how they can be streamlined in a way that enhances controls, creates efficiencies and drive business growth
  • Proactively identify business change opportunities
  • Own end-to-end execution of strategic initiatives from problem identification through requirements definition and solution implementation
  • Design and implement regional communication strategy and control structure to ensure all stakeholders are involved in and aware of key business change activities (system, process, policy, training)
  • Partner with technology resources to design and implement technology solutions, including documenting business and functional requirements, testing and implementation plans.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans including milestones and activities, resources and timelines, to ensure project success. Provide detailed updates on project status
  • Provide detail updates on project status to senior management


  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required
  • 15 + years of financial services experience
  • Advanced competency in Visio, Excel, PowerPoint and Project Management tools
  • Significant experience with major system migrations
  • Candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to operate independently and make decisions and exercise judgment that is based in the strategic goals
  • Proficiency in writing business requirement documents and designing and performing UAT testing scripts
  • Ability to build relationships and partner across a complex organization
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple simultaneous projects and meet defined deadlines
  • Ability to influence seniors and stakeholders outside of your span of control
  • Excellent time management, follow-through and project delivery skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strategic and innovative thinker
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Team player
  • Familiarity with Citi Private Bank and Citi processes is a plus
  • Prior management experience
