Head of architecture governance - Director - Hybrid

The Head of Architecture governance is a newly created role.  It focuses on ensuring architectural cohesion and governance across the TTS Product lines (Payments & Receivables, Commercial Card and Trade & Working Capital Solutions).

The role was created in order to drive architecture governance and simplification across the TTS landscape. The function will have following focus areas:

1) Head the architecture governance function across TTS.

2)  Work with Product, Sales and Technology leadership to identify drivers of complexity.

3) Map system interactions and data flows to identify opportunities for reduced complexity and more streamlined processing.

The role is equal parts strategist, execution-driver, and change-agent. The position requires a senior candidate with exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication abilities. 

Key Responsibilities:

The role will include, but not limited to the following:

• Head the architecture governance function across TTS.

•  Work with Product, Sales and Technology leadership to identify drivers of complexity.

• Map system interactions and data flows to identify opportunities for reduced complexity and more streamlined processing.

• Manage a global team of architects

This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.

Qualifications & Required Experience:

• 12+ years in senior architecture leadership roles within financial services or a related industry; specific experience in strategy development, enterprise and/or solution architecture and systems integration in a complex distributed environment employing a mix of modern and legacy technologies
• Experience with design and development of system architecture; systems hardware and software design and development; system integration and test; information assurance
• Knowledge of Agile development, Cloud technology, APIs and microservices
• Experience in working with architects across all architectural domains
• Experience in supporting transformation projects and organizational change initiatives
• Strong strategic, analytical and communication skills evidenced by experience in formulating strategic scenarios, evaluating trade-offs within a robust commercial framework, and designing practical execution plans
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to engage and influence technology and business stakeholders at most levels within an organization on complex technical and commercial concepts

The role will require an individual with multidisciplinary experience, expertise and aptitude.  The key requirements are: (i) subject-matter expertise in banking products, solutions and delivery; (ii) technical and technology knowledge (experience with technology design and architecture): and (iii) ability to drive and get things done
