RELATIONSHIP MANAGER

  • Manage and grow relationship of the assigned corporate clients
  • Proactively monitor exposure; undertake analysis/investigation where required to ensure exposures are properly reported and exceptions resolved
  • This may include interacting with Transaction Banking Sales and Trading as well as Credit Risk to understand the credit transaction
  • Serve as subject matter expert regarding credit risk reporting; develop and implement solutions as warranted
  • Manage assigned projects in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and that deliverables are met
  • Identify policy and procedure gaps within the department, and propose solutions
  • Demonstrate an ability to resolve internal and external audit issues and to interpret information requests from regulators
  • Develop an understanding of how financial and capital markets transactions, including derivative and foreign exchange trading, generate risk exposure, and how this affects extensions of credit to varied clients
  • Develop a high degree of technical and policy understanding with respect to business credit processing
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues in other areas of risk


Qualifications


  • Fluent in English
  • Finance/accountancy qualifications or equivalent experience are preferred
  • Outstanding analytical skills
  • Specific knowledge of risk and credit, and industry, including market, competitors and the main opportunities of the sector
  • Experience as Corporate Banking Relationship Manager specifically for Large Local Corporate Clients.  
  • Deep knowledge of financial markets, capital market products, global treasury management
  • Interpersonal skills/networking and results oriented
  • Able to create and sustain good personal contacts with clients, within the team and among Citi’s product partners
  • Strong communication/presentation skills
