The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst reporting to the SVP of Client Experience MIS is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology teams. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Job Description
Within Analytics & Reporting, the Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior development position responsible for liaising between business users, technology teams, and application development team to exchange information in a concise, logical, and understandable way. The primary focus will be Global Complaints Management MIS, Contact Center MIS, dashboards, databases, web-applications, and the application of statistical analysis principles. The position is part of Citi Global Operations Analytics and Information Systems (OAsIS) Reporting group, which captures and reports on contact center and complaint trends across all LOBs and Countries. Developed communication and technical skills are required to take user requirements through design, development, and deployment. The position will have responsibility for reporting on assigned development project status’ , pushing communications of systems and projects status to users, organizing, and facilitating user design sessions, demonstrating application functionality, maintaining required records and documentation, and responsible for timeliness/delivery of end results and escalations. Provides insights into group planning, staffing, project scheduling and policy formation within area of expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements
- Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
- Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint
- Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
- Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
- Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with full transparency.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years relevant experience in software development, database utilization, dashboard design and support, and 3+ years of experience in leading and mentoring junior developers
- Awareness-Capable-Advanced-Expert level skill sets required:
- Dashboard Development: Tableau (Expert)
- Dashboard Development: Qlik Sense (Advanced)
- Web-Application Development: Java, Python, SQL, HTML, .NET Core, Visual Studio, C# (Capable)
- Utilize skills in obtaining data from areas including data warehousing, business intelligence, and databases (SQL Server, T-SQL, EAP etc.) (Capable)
- SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS/ MDX cube development (Awareness)
- Support programming/software development using Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) tools connecting to a wide variety of data sources (Capable)
- Familiarity with Autosys for job scheduling, TFS for source control, CI/CD tools to automate software deployment. is beneficial
- Knowledge of File transfer protocols especially NDM/Connect Direct, Secure FTP, Ability to diagnose and discern failures of transfers.
- Experience in developing and optimizing reporting solutions connecting to diverse data sources including Teradata / Hadoop etc.
- Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and work independently with users to define concepts or under direction of project managers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts
- Must have intellectual curiosity and a willingness to delve into a problem and understand the root cause
- Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
- Demonstrated indirect leadership and project management skills
- Must be able to train and mentor all levels of developers across two development team.
