Responsibilities:

  • Manages the credit underwriting and portfolio management responsibilities for a defined group of Citi Commercial Banking (CCB) credit clients.
  • Responsible for undertaking and managing all end to end lending processes, including those associated with originations, underwriting, portfolio management, and data quality.
  • Prioritizes and processes incoming initial and interim credit, checks completion of package received from Relationship Manager and ensures timely completion of credit underwriting / CA.
  • Accurately spreads company financial statements to prepare credit ratings on existing and prospective borrowers.
  • Conducts an objective and thorough credit analysis of the financial condition and creditworthiness of existing and new to bank borrowers, using analysis of historical and projected financial statements, biographical data, market information, credit reports and other data; Identifies key transactional risks & mitigants ensures timely input of financial data into Credit Systems, prioritizes and processes incoming sales/business/credit requests.
  • Maintains in depth knowledge of credit policies, practices, and applicable local and global regulations and ensures all activities complies with CCB lending processes, procedures, and policies. 
  • Understands the Client's strategic and financial objectives/needs and structures competitive credit proposals aligned with risk standards.
  • Coordinate with bankers on customer calls and site visits, when appropriate; perform industry and geographical research and other due diligence as needed.
  • Present credit analysis to senior stakeholders and effectively answer questions when challenged.
  • Ongoing early warning monitoring and the preparation of annual credit reviews for a portfolio of clients.
  • Stay abreast of developments within the local and global economy and designated industries to support problem recognition.
  • Work with colleagues globally to offer credit solutions to international subsidiaries understanding local market requirements.
  • Qualifications:
  • University Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or equivalent. MBA is preferred.
  • Min. 7 years of Commercial/Corporate banking experience with a focus on credit analysis 
  • Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) accounting, financial regulations, financial products, and credit analysis and ability to read and assess company financial statements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Turkish and English.
  • Proficient in various spreadsheet and word processing applications (Excel and Word are preferred), including the use of graphs, models and charts.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team as a good team player with integrity and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, to prioritize workload and to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to deliver reports and effective presentation skills to influence audiences with diverse backgrounds.
