The Wholesale Credit Risk Technical Officer is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge with a modeling and technical background, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for various frameworks within the Wholesale Credit Workstream (CCAR/DFAST, Quarterly Stress Testing, Climate Stress Testing). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within these frameworks. Requires in-depth understanding of how various stakeholders collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Requires good analytical and documentation skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple stakeholders. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the delivery of model related analytics and reporting for various frameworks in Wholesale Credit (CCAR/DFAST, Quarterly Stress Testing, Climate Stress Testing)
  • Assists in the development and management of model and non-model assumptions, sensitivities and testing for the Wholesale Credit Workstream for various frameworks (CCAR/DFAST, quarterly Stress testing, Climate Stress Testing). This candidate will support all modeling/technical activities around the coordination of the requirements for various sensitivity testing and reporting.
  • Partner with Model and Technology teams in the implementation of various model updates and other automation efforts
  • Provide support in the development of requirements and management of various technical model related documentation across various frameworks such as CCAR, Quarterly Stress Testing, Climate Stress Testing.
  • Assists in the development and management of macroeconomic variable inventory across various wholesale frameworks.
  • Provides regulatory risk project management support (business requirements, analysis and testing) for delivery of regulatory solutions.
  • Performs deep dive business analysis to respond to regulatory and business questions and provide portfolio insights.
  • Performs data analysis to monitor and track data quality and completeness of data.
  • Partners with Clients to understand and quickly respond to Client needs. Proactively seeks Client feedback to influence change throughout organization.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Job Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of modeling background preferred with knowledge of running programs such as R, Python or SAS and with writing and editing technical documentation.
  • Experience in writing and editing technical documentation and coding in R, Python or SAS.
  • 4-5 years project experience in risk and ability to partner with Business & Technology stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of project goals.
  • Experience in developing, maintaining, and managing advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other BI solutions using Tableau.
  • Should have Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office – particularly Access (creating data tables), Excel (metrics and data analysis, project plans), PowerPoint (presentation decks), and Word (writing and editing procedural and technical documentation).
  • Proficient ability to interpret business requirements for the purpose of liaising with Technology Developers and modeling group partners.
  • Knowledge of banking domain especially risk management and basic understanding of various credit policies.
  • Experience in product program governance and risk management framework.
  • Thorough knowledge of credit source systems, collateral reporting systems, and end reporting/warehousing; Broad understanding of classifiable and delinquency managed credit and operational policies and procedures.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Good knowledge of Citi products, risk processes and controls with good understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management framework.
  • Experience in compiling process and data quality metrics, analyzing results to clearly communicate data-driven analysis to senior management.
  • Good knowledge of risk management key concepts, risk credit cycle and controls with Good understanding of key regulatory requirements.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
