Responsibilities
The Financial Books & Records (FB&R) Transformation Initiative has been established under the wider Citi Finance Transformation and comprises three pillars - Accounting, Ledgers and Close, and associated global platforms, processes, and governance. The program includes standardizing and reducing risk across current FB&R processes and establishing the next iteration of ledger strategy to adopt and implement global standard SaaS/Cloud based accounting and ledger platforms (the “strategic ledger”). The outcome will be a robust global process, governance, and controls to ensure consistent and materially accurate, complete, and timely ledger data and results. The Strategic Ledger Data Requirements Manager will be part of the Controllers Data organization supporting the Strategic Ledger Program.
Responsibilities:
- Directs key initiatives within the business through the collection, analysis, review, reporting, documentation and communication of business needs and requirements.
- Manages resource allocation of work on key projects/initiatives.
- Deals with complex and highly variable issues with substantial potential business impact.
- Applies ingenuity and creativity to problem analysis and resolution in complicated and/or novel situations.
- Advises or coach to new or lower level personnel in the business processes and procedures of area supported.
- Provides in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
- Influences strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel or provided services that have direct impact on the business.
- Utilizes excellent communication skills required to influence and negotiate with senior leaders (across functions); may communicate with external parties.
- Requires complex judgments and solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
- In-depth analysis with interpretive thinking will be required.
- Applies ingenuity and creativity to problem analysis and resolution in complicated and/or novel situations.
- Handles staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.
- Potentially Interact with regulators..
- Captures requirements and develop delivery plans
- Develops SLA's, initiate and lead process reengineering to continually drive efficiencies across the management information process.
- Additional responsibilities include senior relationship management, coordinate communications multiple workstreams and organizations.
- Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of relevant work experience with global corporations and financial services experience gained in Banking or in an associated consulting role
- Proven track record of significant organizational transformations and SaaS enabled ERP transformations (Oracle, SAP)
- Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, team oriented, organized
- Pro-active problem-solver who works well in high-pressure fast-paced environments
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for reporting and PowerPoint for presentation development
- Strong written/verbal communications skills; must be concise, articulate, and persuasive with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions and the judgement and authority to provide insightful commentary to senior stakeholders.
- Comfortable navigating complex, highly matrixed organizations
- Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels within the organization including senior management, including a proactive and 'no surprises' approach in communicating issues/requests
- Growth mindset, seeking and implementing feedback and maintaining flexibility to pivot and course correct as needed
- Excellent oral and written communications skills; must be articulate and persuasive Ability to drive change to business practices by working effectively across a global organization and to understand different perspectives
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree

We are currently working on a hybrid schedule consisting of 2-3 days in office and the remainder remote (specific details depend on location and business group). This is not a remote only role.
