Responsibilities
The Senior Program Manager Lead is accountable for management of complex/critical/large regulatory program. Direct and collaborate with a team of professionals. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the program. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical resources. Strong program management and executive reporting is a necessity for this role. Accountable for end-to-end delivery of a key quarterly regulatory reporting. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) required to communicate program level status and updates often at a senior level.
This position is part of the Article X.2 transformation program group formed to lead Citi’s CO efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Management -including but not limited to Regulatory Reporting
- Facilitate the reporting of progress on work to a variety of stakeholders, in particular regulators and the Board.
- Key deliverables will be the creation of presentation decks, completion of transformation templates, talking points and editing of answers to regulatory questions.
- Lead and drive the execution of strategic projects / initiatives
- Support the end-to-end management and oversight of complex programs, within schedule and resources.
- Track project progress and provide regular updates to key stakeholders, highlighting risks, and providing sufficient project details, metrics, and assessments as warranted.
- Maintain solid relationships with key external and internal stakeholders.
- Gather data and create presentation material / senior-level talking points for internal and external reporting and communication purposes.
- Initiatives will include stakeholders across the business, i.e., technology, finance, operations, technology, HR, legal, and other program groups
- Define, execute, and enhance processes and controls required to manage/govern Projects.
- Make recommendations for improving the effectiveness of PMO, Quality Assurance and Project Management practices.
- Perform project “health checks”
- Maintain program reporting utilizing company’s project management system
- Adherence to Citi’s Project Management policies, procedures, and standards
- Supports planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a program or portfolio of programs.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Advanced project management and execution skills
- Excellent communicator
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to execute in a large, matrixed organization
- Experienced creating Executive Level presentations
- Experienced with regulatory reporting
- Ability to understand complex information and translate it into the highest standards of plain English that is appropriate for the given audience, visually using PPT and in narrative form.
- Ability to think critically in reviewing materials provided and comfortable challenging the status quo
- Ability to discern what is important and what is not and the confidence and courage to push back when materials provided are not at acceptable quality standards
- A background in regulatory reporting will be helpful as it will give a head start in understanding the perspective of the ultimate end audience.
- Intellect, curiosity, rigor, and the ability to combine a perspective of the big picture with the attention to detail all important attributes.
- Experience with technology projects a plus
- Required skills include project management, quantitative aptitude, and the ability to effectively synthesize and communicate complex business issues through concise presentation skills.
- Good interpersonal skills to oversee cross-functional work streams.
- Solid organizational skills and ability to work autonomously.
- Capacity to anticipate and proactively identify and resolve problems.
- Ability to multitask within tight timelines.
- Ability to drive projects from ideation or assignment to execution.
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
