The Scenario Analysis Program Coordinator will have the unique ability to help drive the execution on all requirements of the Scenario Analysis Program related to the Planning, Execution, and Monitoring of scenarios.This will be accomplished predominantly by engaging key stakeholders to identify, assess, develop, and monitor scenarios to ensure adequate and accurate scenario coverage and contributions to CCAR/DFAST capital models.

This role will be primarily responsible for overseeing the quarterly execution and monitoring of scenarios, supporting scenario program deliverables, and leading scenario analysis discussions with various stakeholders.This position will be part of a Global Operational Risk Capabilities (ORC) Team supporting GCB partners located in ASPAC/EMEA, NAM, and Mexico.This team operates in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

Reporting to the Global Consumer Bank Scenario Analysis Program Manager, this individual will be responsible for providing governance and oversight over the Scenario Analysis framework in executing the requirements for the Global Consumer Bank across all regions.

Job Background/context:

The Global Consumer Bank has a presence in 20 Citicorp countries worldwide with the main products being cards, loans, retail and investments. Operations functions exist in each country but a number of internal and external third parties are also used to provide these functions.

Consumer Business Operational Risk and Control for GCB is structured to focus both functionally and geographically across the globe. Citi’s Global Consumer Business Operational Risk and Controls (CBORC) organization drives global consistency for addressing Operational Risk and Control issues in the Global Consumer Bank. CBORC fosters a culture of control and customer centricity and accountability by leading efforts to identify, anticipate, measure, monitor, mitigate, and report operational, regulatory, and reputational risks.

This role will be responsible for helping ensure that Scenario Analysis requirements are executed clearly, simply and effectively, aligning to other related programs, whenever possible.  Citi GCB Operational Risk coverage includes front office products and services, as well as technology and operations functions and services, spanning three regions (APAC/EMEA, MEX, and NAM):

  • Retail Products: Retail Branch Sales, Teller and Operations; Commercial, Sales and Distribution, Wealth Management & Investments, Insurance
  • Credit Products and Functions: Cards, Personal Loans, Mortgages, Credit Initiation and Collections
  • Operations Functions including Contact Center, Fraud Execution Operations, Core Operations and Transaction Services
  • GCB Consumer Technology
  • Channels/Support:  Digital, ATM, Customer Franchise and Marketing, Technology, AML/CBSU


Be a key member of the CBORC Operational Risk Capabilities team, within the CBORC Risk Capabilities organization, to support execution and reporting on Scenario Analysis Program components such as Planning, Execution, and Monitoring across all Key Operational Risks and Business Regions. 

Business Regions include GCB Mexico, GCB Asia, US Mortgages, US Retail Bank, US Retail Services, and US Branded Cards.

  • Contribute to implementing and enhancing the Scenario Analysis Program in line with policy, standards, and procedural requirements.
  • Engage key 1st and 2nd LOD stakeholders across all KORs, businesses and regions in the Annual Scenario Analysis Plan.
  • Develop a Tracking, Escalation and Reporting strategy to ensure scenarios are executed and maintained within target timeframes and within standards.
  • Present Scenario Analysis Plans, Outcomes, and Challenges to key stakeholders in various meetings and risk forums.
  • Engage on behalf of GCB in Independent Challenges executed by 2nd LOD
  • Prepare Executive and Senior Leadership Reporting for use in the GCB Risk Committee, BRCC or other equivalent forums
  • Incorporate Emerging, Top and Concentration Risks, quarterly KOR Refresh, Risk Appetite Assessments, Scenario Analysis and MCA processes into Annual Planning, ensuring that GCB is identifying and executing qualified CCAR/DFAST scenarios for Stress Testing.
  • Connect the Scenario Analysis requirements to other important processes, such as Strategic Planning, Risk Appetite, Risk Capital, for easy understanding and sensible alignment
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of Scenario Analysis Procedures, Training, Tools and Guidance for the Global Consumer Bank. 
  • Serve as a Scenario Analysis Subject Matter Expert (SME)

  • Build relationships with key regional CBORC teams, KOR SMEs and GCB Senior Leadership to help ensure that GCB Scenario Analysis Program requirements are met timely and correctly

  • Proven experience in leading a Global Program, preferably Risk, Compliance or Scenario related
  • Strong understanding of Risk Governance Framework requirements and/or stress testing, including scenario analysis
  • Strong project management experience
  • Experienced negotiator; collaborative and influential
  • Support for a risk and control environment in a country or another line of business;
  • Demonstrable ability in partnering across multi-functional organizations to bring about change in a specialized function or capability
  • Familiarity with Citi Consumer’s products and services
  • Knowledge of various risks faced by the business and ability to identify risk management solutions within the organization
  • A good understanding of Citi’s Risk and Control environment
