The Program Management Lead is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Provide thought leadership and drive proactive engagement / forward looking risk management on highest program priorities in an effective and efficient manner
  • Coordinate/drive engagement across multiple teams within and outside USCD to ensure program delivery
  • Partnering with Executive leaders (MD/EB) across LOB/Functions to remove roadblocks and drive delivery
  • Manage Program financials and ensure on time/on budget delivery
  • Working closely with Product, Engineering and Design teams to coordinate project activities such as the build and launch of new products, features and programs
  • Experience shepherding projects through Agile SDLC, managing friendly user testing to validate new features, risk tracking and mitigation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence across multiple teams
  • Operate successfully in ambiguous environments
  • Ability to handle multiple contending priorities simultaneously in a exciting environment
  • Skilled at leading technical project activities through the transition from ideation to execution

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6-10 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or computer science
  • 5+ years in program management/technical program management space, working directly with software development teams
  • Experience and ease in interfacing with Senior Management
  • Experience working within an agile methodology (SCRUM, RUP, XP)
  • A track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional, highly technical and complex projects
  • Experience with building and launching new products or services from the ground up
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and recommendations
  • Possess a natural curiosity and an ability to distill sometimes unfamiliar topics to core issues to make decisions
  • Solid business judgment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss complex technical concepts
  • Knowledge of online and offline financial businesses
  • A first-hand working knowledge of current digital technologies
