As part of Citi’s Finance Transformation team, the Planning Initiative is responsible for implementing a defined, integrated, agile, well-controlled, and governed end-to-end integrated forecasting approach that drives effective decision making, informs effective management of the firm’s resources, supports our firm wide culture and strategic priorities, and is fully integrated with strategic risk appetite, risk processes, and capital planning.

The Organization and Resourcing Analyst will be a vital member of the Organization and Resourcing team, a strategic team aligned to the Planning Initiative, responsible for defining and implementing the target state organizational structure, roles and responsibilities for the production of quarterly multi-year forecasts. This team also conducts assessments of the resources needed for both remediation execution and running of the Quarterly Forecasting process and ensures that staffing levels are adequate and resource needs are met. This position will provide support to Transformation activities and contribute to initiatives that will provide a unique opportunity to gain a broad understanding of many key facets of Citi’s integrated planning process.

Responsibilities:

  • Support efforts to define and implement the target state organizational structure.
  • Collect, evaluate, and track incremental resourcing needs and staffing levels.
  • Provide analytical support and develop analytical tools to track key metrics.
  • Provide reporting and informational updates to the Finance Transformation office and collaborate with the team to develop and ensure timely and consistent status reporting.
  • Plan and execute tasks and deliverables critical to the Organization and Resourcing project.
  • Coordinate projects throughout the lifecycle: identifying and structuring the problem, analyzing root causes, developing solutions, communicating project results, and obtaining buy-in for change.
  • Identify risks and issues impacting schedule and quality of deliverables with follow through on mitigation and resolution.
  • Maintenance of the Action Plan (regulatory commitments), tracking changes and ensuring compliance around scope with proper controls and review processes and procedures.
  • Direct the communication of status, issue and risk disposition to all stakeholders, escalating any issues associated with the initiative, as needed, on a timely basis.
  • Partner closely with key stakeholders and contribute to driving key priorities within Planning
  • Identify opportunities to add value beyond the scope of formal projects.
  • Oversight and Coordination of ad-hoc requests.
  • Perform other duties and functions as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience within the financial services industry required.
  • Must be skilled at taking initiative and working independently.
  • The ability to multi-task productively while managing conflicting priorities is necessary for success.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data into insights that are clear, concise, and meaningful.
  • Outstanding communication, diplomacy & presentation skills required in order to guide and influence stakeholders at all levels within the Organization.
  • Strong business analysis competency with historic success in shaping opportunities via conceptual thinking and abstract problem solving capabilities.
  • Knowledge of financial forecasting, modelling and stress testing methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage with C-Suite leadership is required.
  • Track record of success in delivering high quality work in a fast paced and dynamic environment within a heavily matrixed organization.
  • Experience in supporting transformation projects and organizational change initiatives.
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative skills; being able to analyze data, draw conclusions, identify trends and issues, and diagnose root cause of issues.
  • Integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive professional attitude.

Education:

  • An undergraduate degree is required. An MBA, CPA or CFA is preferred
