The Mainframe Operations Leaders for Advanced Mainframe support owns the technical performance of First Line Operations, their constant training and exposure to the latest Z IBM Mainframe technology. They own the operations tasks but not limited to performing the infrastructure changes, IPL’s , software and hardware changes , monitoring , execution of incident and emergency changes , remediation and resumption of service.
Responsible to participate in the team to increase the efficiency of problem resolution techniques understanding of applications and critical business functions, also the skills to interact and maintain etiquette while being part of the technical coordination to find the shortest path to repair-resume. This is a highly focus technical role with intermediate leadership team leads management functions.
Requires to be flexible to work on 10 to 12 hour shifts as needed we are a “Follow the Sun” operation model that has multiple operating locations worldwide and requires the ECC (Enterprise Command Center) operations to function 24X7X365 , this position reports to a Location leader and also requires weekdays as well as weekends work based on pre-allocated schedules.
Requires the candidate to be passionate about technology and social skills and able to be interacting at different levels of the organization as well as other teams to be able to accomplish the work.
We are looking for individuals that can follow guidelines, enforce standards follow instructions and process at the detail level which is critical for flawless execution.
Open to learn, teachable, play the role as contributor but also as lead and protect the integrity of our environments.

This candidate will be responsible to support, lead and help others in the team to develop the vision and implement a plan for future improvements within its scope. Will be involved in infrastructure build, problem management, and service improvement as needed to constantly find improvements opportunities and efficiencies. Trouble shooting skills are at the highest expectation level, additionally will play a leadership role, management in training, training to others
Skills / Experience Levels
Demonstrated 4-6 years of experience minimum leading teams of technologists preferably in a comparable technology or financial institutions organization on the Z platform-Mainframe for complex configurations and operations
It requires to provide evidence of the experience in large complex Parallel Sysplex and the Mainframe hardware and software technology for the Z-Platform at an advanced level, Systems Programming experience is a plus.
Experience building strong, effective teams maintaining impeccable performance.
Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate clearly in high stress situations for High visibility and critical incidents involving technology experts and business units SME’s
Open and willing to learning and sharing your knowledge with the team and helping them to achieve their goals and upskill constantly.
Positive attitude with the drive to get the work done partnering with other units at different levels.
Have to enjoy collaborating and working as part of a cross discipline team in difficult conversation and challenging personalities.
You need to demonstrate cases where you continuously were looking for ways to improve operations and succeeded.
Good solid understanding of the importance of prioritization of your work.
Providing a great experience for your team and your internal customers is important to you.
