Loan Operations Quality Control - AVP / Irving, TX
Candidate will be responsible for managing North American Loan Operations Quality Control for one or more high risk processes, such as payments, pricing, invoicing, onboarding, or reporting. This is a newly established function which provides in process (pre-completion) reviews and approvals for selected processes through a risk based approach.
Key Responsibilities:
This role is for a Quality Control Operations Lead, who will look after the following:
Manage the daily workflow of ‘in process’ quality control requests for one or more high risk functions
Complete in depth reviews of in process transactions to ensure the highest level of accuracy
Identify potential errors for discussion and review real time prior to completion of the transaction
Serve as a subject matter expert in the designated high risk functions, providing expertise to the team more broadly as needed
Support end to end lifecycle controls and thinking, challenging existing processes to improve as needed
Ensure timely reviews of all requests to maintain service levels to the business and external counterparties
Follow-up on the timely remediation of errors and observations identified
Manage the daily, weekly, monthly reporting metrics
Develop and implement timely action plans as needed
Build partnerships with key functional owners to find solutions and encourage open dialogue and innovation
Partner with other quality related functions to identify and implement best practices
Knowledge/Experience:
A proven track record with at least 5+ years of financial Operations experience
Experience and knowledge of end to end Institutional banking loan cycleand solid understanding of direct/indirect lending products and practices
Knowledge of lending platforms like Loan IQ, ACBS
Exposure in reviewing credit agreements
Payments / reconciliation cycle experience
Regulatory concepts and other key areas of risk within the operations and data environments
Knowledge of policies, procedures, and compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations
Ability to perform reviews or processes and identify issues/ gaps.
Qualifications:
A business related degree would be advantageous, however less relevant than extensive ‘in situ’ experience
Skills:
Ability to manage control practices demonstrating a risk-based approach
Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
Possess the ability to work with various levels of management and build and maintain effective working relationships
Strong influence/negotiation skills.
Ability to proficiently use MS Office products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
