GCT Risk Control Analytics Analyst

Locations: Irving, Texas, Jacksonville, Florida Job Function: Risk Management Employee Status: Regular Job ID: 20203910

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Collect data and summarize risk trends identified through internal data, industry data, regulatory/government channels, internal audits, etc.
  • Analyze and mine the data sources to conduct quantitative analysis pertinent to GCT-related risks
  • Report on and present findings and recommendations to senior management
  • Recommend areas for risk reviews or deep dives based on identified risk predictors
  • Conduct root cause analysis on identified GCT risks and work collaboratively with risk owners on potential corrective actions
  • Monitor risk trends to provide business insights and optimize organizational priorities
  • Help create and support a culture of decision-making based off of analytic insights by defining KPIs, identifying competitive toolsets, and implementing best practices

 Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, advanced degree in statistics, economics, finance, behavioral or social science or a related quantitative or professional field preferred
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience and a proven track record of success and growth in a combination of the following areas:  Business Intelligence, Analytics, IT risk management or compliance related work, or data analysis, preferably in a complex technology environment
  • Working knowledge of IT general controls, Systems Development Life Cycle methodology, Information Security controls, industry standards and control frameworks (e.g. COBIT, ITIL, ISO)
  • Able to synthesize data from multiple sources into a cohesive message/ recommendation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present to executives
  • Sharp critical thinking skills to proactively anticipate and address questions/direction from senior management
  • Ability to operate in a virtual environment with global teams from various locations and businesses
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Excel, SQL, Tableau and other data processing/analysis tools
  • Excellent statistical and data analysis skills (e.g. significance testing, regression modeling, etc.)
  • Experience with statistical software, relational database design and methods for efficiently retrieving data from databases
  • Demonstrated proficiency in utilization of data-visualization techniques
  • Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop/Hive
  • Experience analyzing data and designing feature sets
