The Digital Exam Lead is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing all exam requests, including audit, compliance, operation risk mgmt. and regulator. Includes working with different groups across Digital organization, understanding specific requests and ensuring responses are appropriate and complete.
  • Works closely with Digital teams on exam findings and potential solutions.
  • Examines procedures for consistency and gaps relative to regulations in addition to impacts on customer experience.
  • Partners with Exam Prep team and all lines of defense in exam strategy initiatives (including business preparedness, initiatives aimed at increasing IBAM metrics, and deliverable management oversight)
  • Builds relationships with our internal exam teams and coordinator teams to ensure Digital represented fully/ accurately in reviews, as well as eliminating duplicative reviews.
  • Building a robust foundation of risk culture; establishing interaction model with internal and external teams (CBORC, ORM, ICRM, USCD Organization)

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years relevant work experience in E2E project lifecycle digital and/or technology delivery, Risk & Controls and/or process oriented roles
  • Highly Adaptable - Remains calm and optimistic under pressure and/or ambiguous environment, and adapts well to unexpected situations. Solicits and embraces feedback from others to make changes to improve impact and effectiveness.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective organizational influencing skills required.
  • Excellent problem solving skills Ability to see the big pictures with high attention to critical details
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategy and process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and influence skills, with ability to create a strong network of relationships among peers, internal partners, external constituencies, decision-makers, and stakeholders
  • Solid process background with a continuous improvement mindset, identifying solutions to mitigate risk while maintaining lean, nimble processes
  • Strong project management skills
  • Curious and Courageous – Raises issues and challenges traditional approaches. Demonstrates an appetite to learn new things. Takes initiative and is not afraid to go against popular opinion.
  • Determined - Achievement-oriented. Seeks and accepts new challenges outside comfort zones, and sets a high bar. Demonstrates a strong bias for action.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
