Global Risk Review (GRR) provides independent, objective, reliable, valued and timely assurance to the Boards, the Committees, the Citigroup Chief Risk Officer, the Citibank Chief Risk Officer, senior management and regulators over the effectiveness of credit, capital and collateral risk management and the ability of the Business and independent Risk Management to identify, monitor and mitigate current and emerging risks.  Within GRR, the Global Credit Risk Officer Framework (GCROF) function drives best-in-class credit risk officer frameworks, training, policies, assessments, and periodic reevaluation consistent with expectations of the Board, Senior Management, and our regulators.

The SVP, Credit Risk Officer Framework Technology Specialist will report to the Head of Credit Risk Officer Framework Management within the Global Credit Risk Officer Framework Team. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the on-going development, enhancements and implementation of the Pipeline Management Gold Source database and lead key strategic projects for the organization. The incumbent will have extensive interaction with colleagues across Technology, Banking, Capital Markets, and Advisory (BMCA), Citi Markets, the Citi Commercial Bank (CCB), Personal Banking & Wealth Management (PBWM), Independent Risk Management, Compliance, and Learning & Development (L&D), and will play a critical role in enhancing the Global Credit Risk Officer Framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead key technical projects to develop data related systems across GCROF
  • Lead buildout of GCROFs Pipeline Management Gold Source Database and Workflow Management on the Citi Risk & Controls platform through managing working group of representatives across technology team, developing Business Rationale Documents, coordinating User Acceptance Testing and acting as primary point of contact for technology partners
  • Drive communication between business leaders and Information Technology (IT); exhibit sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information
  • Consider the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment; identify and communicate risks and impacts
  • Support Head of GCROF on strategic analysis of GCROF’s technology target state and multi-year plan to achieve target state
  • Lead development and management of comprehensive technology delivery plans for timely delivery and ensure timelines are met by escalating any concerns to the Head of GCROF
  • Produce critical and time-sensitive deliverables for the Board of Directors, senior management, regulators, Internal Audit and external auditors
  • Ad Hoc Projects as designated by the Head of Global Credit Risk Officer Framework

Skills/Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Access is a plus)
  • Proficiency in project management systems (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Clarity)
  • Certification(s) or working knowledge of Agile, Scrum and/or Kanban a plus
  • Subject matter and technical expertise within the defined area with an in-depth understanding of working with structured and unstructured data from multiple databases/sources and formats
  • At least 10 years of hands-on relevant data experience in using Ab Initio, ETL, Unix, Linux, Tableau, SQL and MS Office Suite is preferred with domain knowledge and experience in Banking a plus
  • Proven attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to audiences of varying levels of seniority
  • Strong project and time management skills with the ability to successfully handle competing priorities
  • Energetic, responsive team player with the interest to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, interpersonal skills

Knowledge/Experience/ Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable financial services experience including 10+ years of governance, operations, strategy, project management in Corporate, Commercial, or Retail Banking
  • Experience in governance or strategy role that required the production of materials for senior audiences is preferred
  • Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and systems implementation a plus
  • BA/BS or higher in Business, Finance, or a related field
