Responsibilities
The Applications Development Lead Analyst (C13) is a senior level position responsible for leading the design, development, and validation of new automated control monitoring solutions (e.g., Digital Monitoring Tools) in coordination with multiple business, control, and technology/data teams.
Responsibilities:
- Partnering with technology to identify the specific data sources, and underlying data elements, that will be used to automate the monitoring of business controls (100% full-file monitoring vs sample-based)
- Producing a standardized, handoff package to document the technical requirements needed for accelerated code development
- Serving as technical subject matter expert (with the ability to step in and provide overflow development support) in the programming of daily, full-file automated control monitoring reports using SAS/SQL programming language in Unix, mainframe, and SAS EG/Grid environments.
- Executing initial data quality assessment on required input data sources as well as performing validation of monitoring report output
- Formulating and defining scope and objectives for complex, high-impact digital monitoring solutions and problem resolution through in-depth analysis and evaluation of complex business processes, systems and industry standards
- Works closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Systems Analysts to determine and document Systems impacts and support requirements
- Responsible for leading and managing stories through JIRA workflow management and overseeing progress from Design to Implementation in collaboration with Business, Development, & Production teams.
Qualifications:
- 5 years experience with the collection / drafting of business requirements, including translation of business requirements to technical mappings strongly preferred
- 5 years of data analytics/business analytics experience strongly preferred
- 5 years of SAS, SQL or comparable programming experience strongly preferred
- Experience in managing and implementing successful projects, including collaboration cross-groups
- Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to engage and influence business and technology stakeholders across levels within an organization on complex technical concepts
- Knowledgeable about how organizations work; knows how to get things done both through formal channels and the informal network
- Knowledge and experience of using modern agile management tools such as JIRA and Confluence preferred
- Ability to lead continuous improvement efforts with teams by implementing take-aways from retrospectives and contributing to implement concrete solutions to make deliverables efficient
- This position can sit at any Citi U.S. Operations site.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Sciences, Engineering, or a related quantitative field is required.
