WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
As an Advanced Analytics Group Technical Program Manager, you will play a key role within engineering by shipping advanced analytics solutions that drive commercial success. Your team is on point for planning and organizing the engineering work needed to ship advanced analytics solutions into production in a well-controlled way. Your group is the hub of getting advanced analytics engineering work in, rationalized, conceptualized, assigned, and delivered using a scrum-based execution model.
Your teams contributes to the technical strategies, design choices, execution plans, platforms, associated developer tooling for CI/CD, TDD, and BDD, necessary to deliver the advanced analytics capabilities needed to drive customer intimacy and growth. Your teams have a deep understanding of the platform, the integration patterns, the organizational capabilities, and the company wide assets that can be leveraged to provide rich customer experiences while building advanced analytics solutions. You work backwards from the customer and collaborate closely with product and business teams to deliver best experiences and capabilities.
You will encourage teams to decouple from organizational and architectural dependencies, eliminating redundancy, and landing work with the right teams. Working through a boundary-less approach across the organization. You will build your own scorecard to continuously monitor capacity, demand, execution, delivery, and hygiene via key performance indicators including capacity, demand, backlog, velocity, quality, project throughput, spend, regulatory compliance, and application security. You ensure execution aligns with all regulatory requirements while continuously working to simplify and to automate the necessary and auditable “paperwork” and processes. You will need to be a smart risk taker, who can deliver big ideas as well as transform them into scalable programs. This position has exposure to senior members of the organization, where you would be preparing documentation for senior executives and align roadmaps with organizational objectives
Not only will you communicate with business, technology, audit, risk, fraud, and finance executives, you will build relationships with them. Establish collaborative and productive relationships with product management, governance, UX design, vendors and other supporting teams. Foster an environment of engineering excellence and innovation. Insist on designing to the edge. You will be data driven and without bias in your approaches. You have a proven ability to operate in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment. You will possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills necessary to influence teams to deliver in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will actively encourage the development of your people while continuously raising the bar on performance and technical depth.
You will lead the team from the front by diving deep into business opportunities, engineering challenges and help create believable and achievable plans that deliver commercial success by executing with precision.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science
- Hands on experience (10+ years) leading technical teams delivering advanced analytics solutions using agile and lean planning and execution techniques.
- Experience driving commercial success by delivering advanced analytics solutions including predictive and prescriptive analytics, real time streaming analytics, visualization and data lakes and marts at scale at large complex enterprise.
- Ability to understand and work with technical concepts and creatively apply these concepts to process innovation and business efficiency.
- Experience in conceptualizing, designing and delivery of engineering outcomes & product launches across cross functional teams and domains
- Demonstrated ability to operate with complete independence and autonomy
- Proven ability to develop talent and build a bar raising function & high performing teams.
- Ability to motivate and focus a collaboration to reach challenging goals.
- Can handle multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
- Strong stakeholder management, analytical, project management, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Can communicate (written and oral) to executives, peers, and staff with eloquence and authenticity
- Prior hands on experience as an advanced analytics engineer (Hadoop/Spark, machine learning, data lakes, data warehouse, tableau, Kafka etc.) and a technical program manager.
- Knowledge of modern web architectures, frameworks and micro services patterns a big plus.
