Product Manager role for Issuer Services – Agency and Trust business. A North Asia focused product manager with responsibilities for new product development and implementation, expansion of existing products, business and finance management, market management and new deal implementation for the Asia Pacific Agency and Trust franchise. Primary responsibilities include:
Work with business head to develop strategy, key initiatives and operating plans, to continue to grow the business
Work alongside sales and execution team to develop product capability and facilitate successful implementation of new transactions/structures, which may include preparing and implementing new product approval memos, establishing service agreements.
Identify, analyze and implement new products and market development opportunities working with regional sales and business partners
Support sales team in relation to new or bespoke deal structures; develop and maintain product collateral and marketing materials
Manage financial aspects of the Issuer Services business, working closely with fincon and treasury; and identify and address gaps in critical processes eg. financial control, MIS
Revenue and budget planning in conjunction with business head and regional finance team
Drive technology initiatives, including working with global product and technology partners to leverage new technology and applications; Identify and address technology gaps
Support the business's FATCA/CRS processes and reporting requirements
Creation of periodic management reporting materials
Oversee marketing and promotional activities
Candidate must be able to successfully work with other product partners, sales, transaction management and operations teams. Position will liaise with other regions (NA, EMEA and Latam) to share knowledge and best practices.
Role would best suit someone who is good with people and very comfortable talking with multiple stakeholders
Prior product management experience, strategic planning or management consulting experience will be a distinct advantage
Exposure to corporate trust environment and / or knowledge of capital markets structure is advantageous
Diverse functional experience (e.g. marketing, product development, analytics)
Experience driving business innovation, leveraging management information, and data analytics to drive results
Experience in scenario development and forecasting as well as experience serving clients
Demonstrated knowledge of product development, financial acumen
Ability to understand complex Capital Markets deal structures and build creative solutions for clients
Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
Demonstrated analytical and influencing skills
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Experience at an international bank
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
