The Junior Analyst is typically responsible for resolving basic to moderately complex problems based on practice and the application of acquired technical experience related with Finance and Risk processes, to be able to understand the underlying concepts and principles upon which the job is based and should be able to manage software and systems used to carry out the assigned tasks. This role also applies working knowledge of technical and professional principles and concepts and in-depth knowledge of team objectives. Ensures the quality and service of self and others.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the management and control data flows within Finance applications to ensure integrity and completeness of data, including the preparation of financial reporting and analysis, the updating of the general ledger, and the recording financial transactions in accordance with management reporting requirements.
  • Works as part of the team/ unit delivering on assigned duties and coordinate efforts and resources to achieve the objectives of the function.
  • Applies basic knowledge of the organization, the business and its policies while delivering on assigned responsibilities.
  • Adhere to key controls for accounting process within the process handled. Articulates own process along with its key controls and provides evidence to support reasoning for the assigned area of work.
  • May recommend new options to enhance productivity in accordance with guidelines.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel.
  • Detailed oriented, agile, flexible.
  • English proficiency above 75%
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical High School degree. Associate degree in Accounting, Administration or equivalent to a Finance emphasis.
