The primary responsibility for this position is to develop reports, analysis and tools to facilitate risk reporting for both internal management clients and external regulatory bodies.  Additional responsibilities include streamlining and automating risk reporting processes and providing regulatory risk project management support (business requirements, analysis and testing) for delivery of technology solutions. Performing data and business analysis to respond to regulatory and business questions, partnering with Clients to understand and identify Client needs and proactively seeks Client feedback to influence change throughout the organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Working with existing infrastructure, prepare regular and time-sensitive analytics, visualizations and reports for the risk managers, senior management, and regulators
  • Collaborate with risk managers/subject matter expertise in their area of expertise to analyze counterparty information
  • Develop expertise in the specific risk management area, including risk metrics, risk governance, as well as related data and technology infrastructure
  • Participate in user acceptance testing and quality assurance as well as be responsible for the transition from a manual to automated systemic solution and ensure continuity between quarterly submissions
  • Must be a team player with good communication skills, written/verbal skills and ability to work with both small and large teams.
  • Participates in efforts to ensure Risk and Finance comply with the Citigroup Data Management Policy
  • Partners with cross-functional business areas
  • Engages in project management for multiple cross-functional projects, including coordinating project plans and establishing targets
  • Presents to business and senior management results of work and be prepared to recommend courses of actions with senior clients
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of securities financing transactions and derivative products
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand large sets of data and utilize the information found in that data to identify problems or resolve issues
  • Comfortable looking at the granular details, yet able to understand the bigger picture and where this data fits in the larger strategic vision
  • Strong background in systems design and integration along with the ability to propose and deliver automated solutions to existing manual processes
  • Experience in re-engineering existing business processes and redesigning data flows
  • Ability to write business requirement documents for technology with sufficient depth and clarity for developers to act on requirements.
  • Excellent proficiency in Tableau, SQL and Microsoft Office – particularly Excel (metrics and data analysis), PowerPoint (presentation decks), and Word (writing and editing procedural and technical documentation)
  • Strong quantitative/analytical skills
  • Clear and concise communication and relational skills
  • Collaborative work style and ability to work with a variety of people/functional areas resulting in high quality and timely deliverables.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree, potentially Masters degree
