Financial Resources Management
The management of capital and liquidity is a key area of focus for senior management, recognized as being among the most significant challenges currently faced by the banking sector. Financial Resources Management (FRM) provides in-business leadership on capital and liquidity management and efficiency across the Institutional Clients Group. The mandate of the team was recently expanded to include the identification and management of tax efficiency initiatives. The team exists to solve complex problems, concentrating on regulatory, capital and tax efficiency opportunities to support the business strategy of the Institutional Clients Group (ICG) franchise. In partnership with Risk, Finance, Front Office, Compliance, and Technology groups, FRM provides guidance, structure, and analysis for efficiency efforts and project portfolios
The Strategic Projects team collaborates across both FRM and the ICG franchises to track, manage, and coordinate programs from initiation to delivery. Strategic Projects exist to facilitate collaboration between various teams, to manage risks and issues during the project lifecycle, and identify high-impact issues that require solutions. ICG Strategic Projects
Driving completion of deliverables that are complex, highly time-sensitive and often closely inter-linked is of critical importance when developing efficiency around financial resources. Regulatory deadlines, complex calculations, and a broad spectrum of stakeholders require rigorous project management and the ability to synthesize large data sets into meaningful conclusions. In this role, you will be a part the Strategic Projects team, acting as a catalyst of project progress by communicating with stakeholders, developing analytics, and critically challenging strategy & tactics. You will be involved in the many diverse activities FRM engages in, to support the overall project portfolio and achieve the ICG strategy, with a heavy focus on tax-efficiency related projects in the near term.
Specifically, the candidate will work closely with FRM Structuring, Controllers, and the Corporate Tax Group to identify and implement new tax efficiency initiatives, and to assist in the on-going administration of existing initiatives. This includes responsibility for select administrative aspects of existing contractual arrangements such as preparing board materials, annual deal reviews, maintaining deal files, and satisfying internal audit requirements.

·Bachelor’s degree and significant qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics,
Computer Science, Math, Financial Engineering, Physics or related field
·3+ years Relevant experience in the Financial Services industry or data analytics
·Proven analytical skills for developing data analysis and quantitative strategies
·A demonstrated history of delivering on initiatives
·Ability to coordinate processes and work as part of multiple teams across a firm
·An ability to manage personal workload and agenda independently but in alignment with the priorities of the business unit
·Ability to work under pressure in a highly professional Front Office environment
·Familiarity with large scale data and querying ability is preferred
·A foundational understanding of Basel III legislature
Additionally, the candidate should have an appetite to develop a detailed understanding of the following areas:
