About the Role

This position is the finance portfolio lead on the Citi Retail Services LL Bean credit card program.  The role will have significant interaction with Citi Retail Services Senior Management and the Partner Finance and Business teams driving product and marketing opportunities and overall profitability of the program. The role is also responsible for shaping the analytics and reporting for the portfolio fulfilling both internal management and partner needs.  The Senior Lead Analyst leads offshore resources performing financial analyses related to promotional programs, investment opportunities, marketing campaigns, efficiency analysis, and other strategic initiatives as well as forecasting and analyzing P&L dynamics and growth/return increase scenarios.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Partner with the LL Bean program staff to develop projections for internal and external sales, applications, acquisitions and other relevant program drivers
• Partner with FP&A on program P&L and profit share payment forecasting, including both current year and long term/contract projections
• Work closely with internal and external business partners to develop annual Marketing plan and external sales forecast, including regular updates to ensure accurate projections
• Drive insight through the development of vintage and ongoing product-level profitability analysis with detailed segmentation by key drivers
• Analyze promotion-level profitability and sales performance, influencing internal and partner promotional strategy
• Support marketing campaigns and strategic initiatives through generation of requested financial analysis, providing guidance and insight to business and partner teams
• Interact with Citi analytics teams (e.g., Risk Management, Decision Management) to prepare both regular and ad hoc internal and partner-facing analytics
• Support preparation of financial packages for business reviews, investment/marketing campaign reporting, and other financial reports, as needed
• Participate in month-end close process to ensure accuracy of partner related payments, accruals, and reserves (including reward program reserves); ensure financials align with contract terms
• Evaluate contractual changes (amendments, etc.) both analytically and from a contract language standpoint
• Direct day-to-day work of onshore and offshore finance resources, providing coaching and training to staff
• Support Citi Retail Services business-wide financial analyses, initiatives and control processes including EUC and Model management, as needed

Qualifications:

• B.S. in Finance or Accounting.
• Strongly prefer 10+ years of financial experience in credit card industry and/or financial services.
• Strong leadership skill and business acumen.  Executive presence: ability to interact and influence senior management, both internal Citi and Retailer Executive team
• Superior communication/presentation skills; ability to drive change and support for performance improvement across all functional areas.
• Strong analytical skills, as well as control and compliance mindset, advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills and experience using a multi-dimensional Financial database such as Essbase or Hyperion required
• Ability to work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented, intense environment.
