FP & A Sr. Lead Analyst
Leadership role in Finance organization, partnering with Business Development, Mergers & Acquisitions, and other internal and external constituents to identify, cultivate, model, and negotiate acquisitions and new partnerships across US personal banking, with emphasis on credit card programs. Deal sizes range from $100 million in assets to $5+ billion. Position will also perform regular and ad hoc valuation and cost/benefit analyses for multiple initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide key financial leadership to business development process, including deal structuring, financial analysis, and contract negotiations.
- Partner with cross-functional internal teams, including Business Development, Mergers & Acquisitions, Risk Management, Operations & Technology, Compliance, Marketing and others to evaluate acquisition and new partnership opportunities.
- Participate in prospective client meetings during sales process and negotiations.
- Develop timely and insightful financial analyses to support management review of proposed deals. Identify appropriate scenarios and sensitivities and incorporate into financial reviews.
- Communicate pro forma financials, including risks and opportunities, to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Demonstrate responsible finance through conduct that is transparent, prudent, and dependable.
- Interact with Accounting Policy, Treasury, Tax, and other key internal stakeholders to ensure that financial elements are appropriately considered and reflected in pricing and structures.
- Perform other activities related to business and asset valuation, capital management, and strategic initiatives. Provide thought leadership and drive in order to advance initiatives.
- Perform other enterprise-wide financial leadership and analysis, as needed.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of financial leadership experience, with credit card M&A preferred
- Superior communication skills
- Advanced analytical and cognitive capability
- Strong teamwork and collaboration ability – extensive cross functional interaction
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented, intense environment
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
