The newly created Personal Banking & Wealth Management (PBWM) Business Simplification and Process Reengineering team is searching for a Vice President of Business Simplification and Process Reengineering to support simplification of the PBWM businesses by analyzing current processes, products, tools and systems to identify and prioritize solutions that will drive product rationalization, process reengineering and organizational alignment. The position supports the strategic agenda and the day-to-day efforts in simplifying PBWM’s Operating Model through improving the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes and supporting end-to-end solutions which drive scale and repeatability. The position is responsible for partnering with Enterprise and PBWM Transformation teams that are focused on delivering the consistent Citi Enterprise Architectural Methodology (CEAM) to ensure initiatives align to the expected taxonomy requirements and that the strategic initiatives are aligned and prioritized to deliver against the agreed upon target state.


Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with the Initiative Director and Senior VPs to:
    • Provide on-the-ground support and coordination of day-to-day business process re-engineering efforts for established and prioritized initiatives to deliver improvements and simplification efforts across the PBWM.
    • Assist in identifying areas of improvements in order to drive simplified products, create repeatable processes, streamline and simplify systems, improve the customer experience, reduce issues, support simplifying the control environment and driving performance metrics that demonstrate cost save opportunities, efficiency and enhance productivity.  
  • Work within cross-functional teams to drive product and process improvements by understanding current state and target state process maps and products proposing modifications or re-engineering initiatives that drive simplifying the operating model and improve the customer experience globally.
  • Assist in the development of execution roadmaps to optimize / rationalize client segments, products, pricing, customer touch points, analog replacement with digital.
  • Ensure initiatives align to the established control frameworks and are driving control automation, reducing reliance on manual solutions and mitigating overall risk.
  • Understand critical data processes and technology components; identifying critical gaps and/or opportunities and devising a plan to address and implement.
  • Develop strong, trust-based relationships with critical internal business partners


Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience within financial services and/or IT function in a large, matrixed, multinational organization; proven track record in supporting transformation and change within a large global bank and ability to connect the dots to the organizational priorities  
  • Experience in system analysis and writing business and functional specifications
  • General knowledge of consumer financial services regulatory environment; strong business acumen
  • Demonstrated track record of collaboration across multiple, disparate internal business groups
  • Strong problem-solving skills to proactively address business questions and the ability to understand trade-offs and impacts, as well as business process reengineering
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities across teams and work effectively under pressure in a rapidly changing environment
  • Strategic, analytical, and systematic thinker who consistently challenges the status quo and constructively challenges the team to drive change and continuous improvement.
  • Track record of managing internal relationships and demonstrated experience in leading sustained change and change management efforts
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with evidence of working in collaboration across large organizations, including a proactive and 'no surprises' approach in communicating issues/requests
  • Demonstrates comfort with communicating reality – both positive and negative.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present ideas to audiences at all levels internally and externally
  • Demonstrated history of attention to detail and process orientation


Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Technology or a quantitative discipline or equivalent work experience
