Job Background/context: The role lies within the Technology team for the Global Treasury & Trade Solutions (TTS) business, and is focused on supporting the multi-year, multi-workstream Transformation Program for Client Operations.The key goals of the program are to enhance, streamline and automate Operations in order to improve productivity, scalability, controls, and client experience as well as supporting integration of tech strategy and innovation with business vision.

Key Responsibilities:

Support planning, directing and coordination of running a Tech program or portfolio of programs ensuring alignment to wider Tech Strategy:

  • Work with Operations & Technology to prioritize the Operations Book of Work.
  • Ensure optimal end to end solution design and alignment to Strategic/Global Standards
  • Manage deviations to Global Standards
  • Act as a focal point of contact for stakeholders throughout the re-engineering lifecycle and work with internal and external partners to design, validate and deliver solutions with a commercial benefit for Citi
  • Act as a challenger to the book of work ensuring we proceed with commercially sensible initiatives
  • Ensure all areas of the program are appropriately staffed and aligned to a delivery date
  • Adopt Agile delivery methodologies to speed up user feedback cycles and E2E delivery timelines
  • Manage multiple global concurrent initiatives and projects of varying sizes and complexity providing technical and operational leadership into the annual book of work
  • Champion upward and downward communication on all notable progress to all key stakeholders, via various governance calls both leading and supporting
  • Support the Operations Evolution Program Governance Lead in the creation and ongoing refinement of automation book of work ensuring each program is delivered in line with plan


  • Prior experience of large multi-stream projects and programs
  • Understanding of Transaction Banking and payments businesses and operating model
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to present to senior audience
  • Demonstrated expertise of Microsoft Office product suite; basic macro coding experience and proficiency in Microsoft Access, PowerPoint and Share Point
  • Advanced Excel skills in particular will be essential
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Able to adapt quickly to internal financial tools and processes
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience producing excellent communication material and presenting to Senior Stakeholders

  • Clear communication ability to relay precise information both orally and in writing to senior management
  • Ability to articulate ideas in a simple coherent way
  • Able to influence and drive projects to meet key milestones and overcome challenges


  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrable level of experience in a related role
  • Understanding of Transaction Banking and payments businesses and operating model
  • Project management experience / PMP Certification preferred
  • Requires a familiarity with agile project methodology
