Responsibilities
As aData Modelerwithinthe Firmwide Master & Reference Strategy Team you work within a team of data modelers with responsibility for model requirements, analysis, design and implementation across all of the key Master & Reference Data (M&RD) Domains. The M&RD domains describe core data concepts including (but not limited to) Party, Account, Product, Instrument and Price. These domains provide the data foundations for all core capabilities across the firm including Front/Middle and Back Office services in Corporate, Institutional and Consumer functions.
The Data Modeler will work across the organization and its functions to designand manage a common set of models spanning conceptual, logical and physicaldata and contribute to enterprise best practices in model driven development. The Data Modeler will use agile model-driven practices within the M&RD Data Modelling Team.
Responsibilities:
Define and execute Model Driven Development standards across 11 constituent M&RD Domains ensuring 100% alignment between modelling artefacts and in-production data.
Build strong working partnerships and strategic relationships with key partners across operations and technology to align implementation with measurable business value.
Collaborate with Data Modelers across the firm (multiple data domains and functions) to drive alignment to common standards and master data foundations.
Collaborate with Firmwide Master & Reference Data Quality Team to enable models with adequate specification for actionable Data Quality results.
Collaborate with Firmwide Master & Reference Data Architecture Team to define current and future state M&RD platforms and services.
Qualifications:
Some years of data modelling of conceptual, logical and physical models using a recognized modelling tool e.g., Magic Draw (highly desirable), Erwin, Toad.
Expertise in UML Design.
Demonstrated track record of model driven development project contributions in Financial Services environment.
Subject area knowledge in one or more Master/Reference Data Domains.
Ability to accurately determine length and difficulty of tasks and projects and maintain a projected delivery roadmap.
Strategic thinker; must be able to look towards the broadest possible view of an issue or challenge; can easily pose future scenarios; can think globally; and can discuss multiple aspects and impacts of issues and project them into the future
Adaptable, flexible, and able to respond to changes in priorities
