Compliance Product Officer - VP - Hybrid
We have an excellent opportunity to join an established and growing Dublin-based team, working with other colleagues in the Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. Our team supports a range of products across this region.
The Compliance Product Officer – VP serves as a product compliance risk officer for Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) within Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) focusing on TTS products and activities and regulatory matters in Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with internal strategies, policies, procedures, processes, and programs to prevent violations of law, rule, or regulation. You will also engage with the ICRM Product and Function coverage teams, in order to partner to develop and apply ICRM program solutions that meet the product and customer needs in a manner consistent with the Citi programme framework.
The successful candidate will have opportunities to work across several coverage areas and build on compliance skills such as monitoring, product reviews, policy development, international transactions, regulatory change, product support and training development and delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, delivery and maintenance of best-in-class Compliance, programmes, policies and practices for ICRM.
- Proactively participate in TTS governance and risk management fora in order to provide effective guidance and credible challenge in relation to compliance risk matters.
- Provide guidance on rules and regulations relating to product operational issues, as well as, provide transactional approvals and interpretation of internal compliance policies.
- Assist with regulatory inquiries and examinations.
- Collaborating with other internal areas including: Legal, Business Management, Operations, Technology, Finance, other Control Functions, and In-Business Risk to address compliance issues which may impact the supported product.
- Support with performing timely compliance reviews of new products.
- Assist in the development and administration of Compliance training for the supported product.
- Research any new reform rules and rule changes and implementing policies, procedures or other controls necessary to comply with the rules.
- Primary responsibilities will also include monitoring compliance risk behaviors and providing day-to-day compliance advice relating to the supported product and guidance product rules, laws and interpretation on internal policies and procedures.
Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience in compliance, legal or other control-related function in a financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm or combination thereof.
- Knowledge or experience of compliance monitoring, payments and receivables, trade finance, cards, outsourcing or regulatory change management a plus.
- Knowledge of Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks and typologies.
- Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative and adaptive.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced analytical skills.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Advanced degree a plus.
- Compliance qualification a plus.
