Responsibilities
This role is within the Custody Operations Group for Security Services Operations. Asset Servicing is represented Globally across the NAM, LATAM, EMEA and APAC regions with globally approx. 630 FTE across 39 countries.
The Asset Servicing department is an integral part of the ICG O&T division and has responsibility for the processing of Corporate Actions, Income, Event Capture and Proxy events. It is one of the highest risk areas within operations.
This exciting role is to manage and lead the Dublin Asset Servicing Team in CSC Location. The individual will be responsible for the day-to-day management and leadership of a diverse set of talent. The unit provides client-orientated support, utilizing all processes of the other areas of operations and partners closely with the business.
The role requires the individual to have a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within Asset Servicing and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Excellent communication skills are required in order to negotiate internally and externally. Applies in-depth technical understanding of the Asset Servicing function and business impact.
The individual will be accountable for the BAU, partnering with the EMEA Asset Servicing Ops Head to execute on the EMEA strategy, whilst ensuring the performance of the group, objectives of Operations, the Business and our clients are executed to a high standard and in full accordance with regulatory and control requirements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for continuing to strengthen the experience within the teams whilst enhancing risk and control frameworks and the client experience, aligning to company strategy and vision.
Responsibilities:
Lead the Dublin Asset Servicing team with approx. 60 FTE, covering Voluntary Corporate Action processing.
Execute the EMEA strategy in partnership with the EMEA Asset Servicing Ops Head, Business and Technology.
Manage the day to day activity and risk of Asset Servicing in the Department
Monitor client satisfaction and service levels via the Custody process Support to ensure best in class service.
Represent Dublin Asset Servicing for any client meetings/new business
Maintain a strong and robust risk and control framework within the function, driving down opportunities for error, adhering to internal policies for documentation and senior reporting.
Monitor and review trends via Error, KPI’s and metric analysis and implement corrective action plans to maintain the culture of preventative action
Manage the ops implementation for any EMEA strategic re-engineering initiatives and delivery of internal re-platforming opportunities
Communicate and implement ops & business strategy, performance and priorities
Collaborate with technology and regional partners to execute strategic roadmap
Manage and contribute to location strategy and productivity targets
Hire, develop and reward staff based upon meritocracy and promote collaboration and diversity. Identify and develop high performers.
Be a key participant of driving the simplification and transformation strategy for EMEA AS
Supports a wide range of internal clients (product, sales, client delivery, and technology) and external corporate clients
Contributes to budget and manages distribution and exceptions
Presents, analyzes and validates data to develop valued added solutions to increase productivity and efficiencies
Manage any self-raised CAPS, perform process reviews, identifying any gaps and implementing controls and/or process to deliver Global consistency.
Attend market industry forums and represent EMEA Asset Servicing
Understand, implement, and monitor of all market and regulatory changes.
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous years of Senior Leadership experience in a related role with commensurate experience in people management. Asset Servicing Technical knowledge preferred.
Energetic, flexible, collaborative and proactive; a leader who can positively and productively add product impact to both strategic and tactical technology
Experience in management with Banking and Financial Institutions Broad understanding of opportunities that exist within Financial Services and significant experience in Corporate Banking
Ability to exhibit strong and influential communication skills with a senior level audience (internally/externally)
Strong, influential communicator who is articulate and concise
Strong risk management and control mindset. Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations; draws on diverse range of internal and external sources
Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented
Demonstrates experience leading people and developing effective and diverse teams. Ability to establish and build trust with professionals throughout the business with a clear client orientation
Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
