Responsibilities
The Regulatory and Controls Program Coordinator is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the regulatory and controls about the operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
Responsibilities:
Support in the execution against the Global Onboarding Controls and Regulatory book of work.
Determine client and business impact and develop plans for readiness to any regulatory and controls process changes.
Lead the design and implementation of any new process or changes of critical Regulatory/Controls Programs
Actively and independently drive dialog related to Regulatory/Controls processes
Build strong and effective relationships with key regional partners in Onboarding, TTS Governance and Product organization, Technology, Compliance and AML Groups. Responsible for customer interaction, documentation issuance, review and system setups.
Demonstrates high level of diligence, motivation and organizational skills. Focusing on delivering project deadlines timely.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
Experience in Financial Services with some experience in management
Ability to implement, drive and comply with all required controls, governance, and policies.
Understanding internal risk & controls policies and processes and the ability to quickly identify areas of weakness
Proven ability to execute
Highly organized with program management skills.
Knowledge in Citi’s Internal Polices and Governance a plus.
Good interpersonal communication skills. Able to communicate with internal and external business partners.
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
