El gerente de informes financieros es un puesto de nivel intermedio responsable de brindar liderazgo e instrucción completos a un equipo de empleados, en un esfuerzo por proporcionar análisis e informes normativos en coordinación con el equipo de Finanzas. El gerente de informes financieros lidera el equipo en actividades contables como el cierre de libros y libros secundarios, el ajuste de entradas y la consolidación de finanzas al final de cada período. El objetivo general es liderar un equipo operativo de Finanzas a través de la delegación y supervisión para garantizar que realicen las actividades mensuales a tiempo y sigan las pautas especificadas, así como contribuir al desarrollo de nuevas técnicas, modelos y planes dentro del área de experiencia.

Responsabilidades:

  • Apoyar el análisis y la presentación de informes a diversas partes interesadas (reguladores locales, SEC, Fed, OCC, etc.) en función de requisitos como los Principios de Contabilidad Generalmente Aceptados (Generally Accepted Accounting Standards, GAAP) de los EE. UU., los organismos reguladores de los EE. UU. y los informes regulatorios locales.
  • Supervisar el cierre de libros y libros secundarios, incluido el registro de entradas de ajuste obligatorias adecuadas y la consolidación de las finanzas al final de cada período contable.
  • Revisar las actualizaciones mensuales de las bases de datos de distintos sistemas y plataformas, y validar las fuentes de datos con el usuario final.
  • Garantizar que todas las acumulaciones y ajustes se calculen con precisión y publiquen dentro de los plazos establecidos.
  • Monitorear los cambios o el progreso, y mantener informado al personal de liderazgo sénior sobre los detalles financieros inusuales.
  • Mantener controles internos garantizando la incorporación de verificaciones de control en todos los campos, y verificarlas minuciosamente durante las revisiones de proceso.
  • Apoyar al equipo en la identificación e implementación de iniciativas de mejora de proceso o ideas de estandarización que aumenten la productividad y eficiencia, reduzcan el ciclo del tiempo de procesamiento y disminuyan las tasas de errores.
  • Supervisar todas las cuentas, los libros y los sistemas de informe garantizando el cumplimiento de los estándares financieros y requisitos normativos adecuados.
  • Trabajar con el vicepresidente auxiliar para establecer objetivos, llevar el seguimiento del desempeño y otros requisitos de mejora profesional del equipo, y desarrollar y capturar los indicadores clave de desempeño (Key Performance Indicators, KPI) del equipo.
  • Ajustarse los procedimientos y las normas regionales y globales.
  • Evaluar adecuadamente el riesgo cuando se toman decisiones comerciales, demostrando una consideración particular por la reputación de la empresa y protegiendo a Citigroup, sus clientes y activos, al impulsar el cumplimiento de las leyes, las reglas y los reglamentos correspondientes, acatando la política, aplicando un juicio ético sólido en relación con el comportamiento personal, la conducta y las prácticas comerciales y escalando, administrando e informando los problemas de control con transparencia, así como supervisar de manera efectiva la actividad de otros y crear responsabilidad con aquellas personas que no mantienen estos estándares.

Calificaciones:

  • Entre 5 y 8 años de experiencia en gestión contable con experiencia en gestión de personal proporcional obligatoria.
  • Contador público (Chartered Accountant, CA)/maestría en administración de empresas (Master in Business Administration, MBA)/contador público autorizado (Certified Public Accountant, CPA) o una combinación equivalente de estudios obligatoria.
  • Conocimiento práctico de las normativas financieras relacionadas.
  • Automotivación y atención a los detalles.
  • Demuestra de manera constante habilidades de comunicación escrita y verbal clara y concisa.

Educación:

  • Título universitario/de licenciatura o experiencia equivalente.

The Finance Reporting Manager is an intermediate level position responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees in an effort to provide regulatory analysis and reporting in coordination with the Finance team. The Finance Reporting Manager leads the team in accounting activities such as the closing of books and sub-ledgers, adjustment entries and consolidating financials at the end of each period. The overall objective is to lead a Finance operational team through delegation and supervision to ensure they perform monthly activities on time and follow specified guidelines as well as contribute to the development of new techniques, models and plans within the area of expertise.

Responsibilities:

•Support the analysis and submission of reports to various constituencies (local regulators, SEC, Fed, OCC, etc.) based on requirements such as US GAAP, US Regulatory, and local statutory reporting

•Oversee closing the books and sub-ledgers, including passing appropriate required adjustment entries and consolidating financials at the end of each accounting period

•Review monthly database updates for various systems and platforms and validate data source feeds with end-user

•Ensure all accruals and adjustments are accurately calculated and posted within established timelines

•Monitor changes/progress and keep senior leadership informed of unusual financial details

•Maintain internal controls by ensuring control checks are built in all the files and check them thoroughly during process reviews Assist the team in identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives or standardization ideas that will increase productivity and efficiency, reduce cycle of processing time, and reduce error rates

•Oversee all accounts, legers, and reporting systems insuring compliance with appropriate financial standards and regulatory requirements
• Work with the Assistant Vice President to set goals, track performance, and other upskilling requirements of the team as well as develop and capture Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of the team

•Adhere to regional and global procedures and rules

•Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

•Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

•Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

•Ability to manage teams.  Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

•Data mining knowledge to be able to understand financial Data and how to investigate and analyze it to be able to improve or answer analytical questions

Qualifications:

•5-8 years of experience in Accounting Management with Commensurate People Management experience required

•Chartered Accountant (CA) / Master in Business Administration (MBA) / Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent combination of education preferred

•Working knowledge of related financial regulations

•Self-motivated and detail oriented

•Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

•Excel is amost to have a good knowledge for usage.

•English lenguage knowledge (advance level if possible)
