ROHQ - FRSS - Finance Reporting Sr. Group Manager

Job Purpose:

A challenging position within the Integrated Close team, working with senior stakeholders in FRSS, Region and Country Finance as well as other Global locations across Citi shared services. This role is seen as critical role in providing Assurance and Analytical service to Citi Finance. This is also critical role FRSS overall Finance Transformation initiative to maximize the migration of activity FRSS countries to FRSS. The role requires supervision for preparation, review and reporting of Regional US Reporting Financial and management results to Head Office.

The role also entails a responsibility over ensuring strong controls framework, building strong leaders and teams covering the reporting as well as playing a critical role driving global improvement initiatives.

Job Background / Context:

Citi Shared Services’ Finance and Risk Operations (FRSS) unit provides services to several Asian entities for Citibank. They drive end – to end processing, reporting and analysis of legal entity results.

Closing, Assurance and Analytics (CAA) is a strategic position within FRSS designed in partnership with Finance to provide overall financial reporting, assurance and analytical services. The incumbent will assume overall responsibility for reasonability of financial results for the region. The role offers opportunity to manage a wide range of reporting and analytical tasks, country specific reporting and projects. The Manager will act as a manager of managers and will responsible for performance of a team of about 80 individuals.

The role also entails a responsibility to ensure a strong controls framework, building strong leaders and teams covering the reporting as well as playing a critical role driving global improvement initiatives.


  • Support the analysis and submission of reports to various constituencies (local regulators, SEC, Fed, OCC, etc.) based on requirements such as US GAAP, US Regulatory, and local statutory reporting
  • Manage activities, including closing the books and sub-ledgers, passing appropriate required adjustment entries and consolidating financials at the end of each accounting period
  • Oversee all areas of financial and management reporting, planning, and analysis
  • Provide assistance across entire firm or multiple business lines/areas
  • Partner with revenue areas to improve efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, and/or control
  • Manage and direct individuals within the infrastructure area through relevant direct reporting
  • Manage day-to-day high level operational execution and development of the strategic direction of the relevant infrastructure area
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.


  • 15+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in people management
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills
  • Ability to work across functional areas
  • Demonstrated project management skills


  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
