ROHQ - CTS - Operations Support Intermediary Analyst ( C-11)

The Ops Sup Intermed Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for providing operations support services, including but not limited to; record/documentation maintenance, storage & retrieval of records, account maintenance, imaging and the opening of accounts in coordination with the Operations - Core Team. Additionally, the Ops Sup Intermed Analyst serves as the liaison between operations staff, relationship managers, project managers, custodians and clients. The overall objective of this role is to provide day-to-day operations support in alignment with Citi operations support infrastructure and processes.


  • Perform financial, statistical, and operational studies using analytical skills and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies
  • Interpret data and results based on the analysis of information and application of professional judgement
  • Apply project management to assist operational projects as assigned
  • Perform feasibility analysis for significant process changes and partner with business teams to develop process improvements and solutions that help to streamline the operational workflow
  • Resolve varied and complex issues using professional judgment, discretion, and business expertise
  • Provide informal guidance and training to new and lower level team members, as needed
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • High level knowledge of related to industry standards and practices
  • Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.

The role includes the following activities:

- Interface with business product processor and information warehouse operations teams to identify root cause for daily breaks

- Coordinate corrective actions with the appropriate regional AML team

- Ensure all breaks are assigned to a responsible party, logged into Incident Management System, and prioritized for action

- Provide analytic support and subject matter expertise to business product processors and information warehouses

- Monitor business product processor change control processes to ensure reconciliation tools are current and appropriate

- Coordinate rule additions and updates with E2E reconciliation development team. Test rule changes in UAT and secure compliance approval of said changes

- Coordinate valid value and reasonability report exceptions working with the regional AML team, product processors and business information warehouse

- Support metric reporting as well as audit requirements as appropriate

- Initiate process improvement and setting standards

- Head primary functions in support of building the team

Job Skills/Qualifications:

- 8 years or more relevant experience in the industry of Data Analysis and/or Production Support

- 2 or more years of experience in leading a project or a team

- Strong and rich experience in Incident and Problem Management (Ticketing System)

- Vast experience in issue management while working with virtual teams across the globe; driving calls with virtual teams on issue resolution

- Strong experience in coordinating issues until closure

- Experience in driving for the Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

- Experience in Metrics and/ or Reports Development

- Experience in enhancing or optimizing team processes

- Experience in working on a fast-paced, and dynamic environment; adapting to every-changing business processes

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Detail oriented and analytical; Strong critical thinking skills

- Effective time management, documentation, and organizational skills; Ability to multi-task & appropriately prioritize tasks

- Ability to communicate, educate, and support a large user base

- Logical minded person who can understand complex issues & think about them with precision

- Strong experience in user of Microsoft Office suite of products – Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

- UNIX Scripting (bash)

- CMMI or Six Sigma
