Job Description:

The Information Services Group (ISG) is responsible for providing authoritative sources of reference data to our clients across the Institutional Client Services (ICG) organization, through implementing state of the art technologies which promote the collection, storage, analysis, and distribution of product, pricing, account and corporate action data. The ISG organization works in partnership with data clients across all ICG business lines, deploying solutions to increase their competitiveness, through restructuring business processes, simplifying information access, and providing business intelligence around critical data.

The Account Control unit of the ISG Reference Data Management team is responsible for opening and maintaining customer sub-accounts reference data, and actively ensuring that customer data details and settlement instructions across a variety of systems remain up to date. The team will work closely with Sales, Middle Office, KYC and Accounts Control teams in Manila, Buffalo, Belfast, Japan and Poland to ensure that a globally consistent model is followed with respect to this critical reference data. The team ensures that statutory and regulatory obligations are met when new relationships with clients are established.

Responsibilities:

Monitors and perform daily Data Quality Review and control reports to ensure all regulatory/document requirements are met and work with the account opening & KYC teams to escalate issues of non-compliance. Ensuring all documented processes are followed correctly, will be able to write and do annual refresh of procedures and documents. Responsible for helping with daily/monthly metrics and assists in escalations if any. Ensure end of day targets are met, all reports completed and saved in K drive and DMC The candidate should be comfortable in a fast paced, multi-tasked environment, be customer service oriented, and have an ability to identify and lead the implementation of process improvements.

Qualifications:

Previous banking experience, specifically of project management, MIS, within a global financial services organization would be advantageous. Excellent communication skills in English, Japanese and Mandarin (oral and written communication, reading comprehension) Must have experience of/desire to work in a fast paced, metrics and deadline-oriented department with ability to work in a target driven environment meeting agreed SLAs Familiarity with XMC (SAP Business Objects) and reporting functionality would be a big plus. Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite, including proficiency in Excel and/or MS Access. Experience with working with a large, global organization. Strong teamwork skills in a local setting, as well as across different geographic locations. Demonstrate assertive interpersonal and written communication skills with no aversion to client and management interaction Ability to work and adapt in an ever-changing regulatory and control environment Ability to focus on high quality work while under pressure and exhibit good attention to detail while focused on delivery. Excellent awareness of and adherence to audit & risk controls Ability to work on several initiatives concurrently and cope with changes in priorities.

Education:

Intermediate-Advance level in Japanese Language (oral and written communication, reading comprehension), preferably with JLPT N1-3 certificate.A business-related degree would be advantageous, however less relevant than extensive ‘in situ’ experience
