Responsibilities
The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead development and delivery of Java Springboot/microservices based services which will be part of the global ESB implementation supporting multiple banking and financial services applications.
He/She needs to ensure quality of deliverables, coordinate / conduct code as well as test case reviews and coordinate with various cross functional teams as and when required.
Responsibilities:
- Lead development of Java Springboot services and applications.
- Lead migration of legacy code to the new tech stack.
- Responsible for application analysis, tuning and measurement to ensure appropriate performance and reliability based on documented SLA's.
- Provides work leadership and Mentors/coaches lower level technical staff or less experienced programmers.
- Works with project teams and unit level team members to ensure strong technical alignment with documented development standards, SDLC, and coding frameworks for all application development efforts.
- Provide knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint.
- Utilize knowledge of system flow and follow standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals.
- Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions.
- Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality.
- Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes.
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 12+ years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role.
- Experience with Java ,SpringBoot , Microservices.
- Hands-on experience with databases like Oracle and Mongo.
- Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix Shell.
- Extensive experience with Jenkins, TeamCity, SonarQube, BitBucket.
- Experience in software development SDLC (Agile)
- Experience in Tibco Business Works is a plus.
- Exposure in message driven architectures, including Kafka, TIBCO EMS, and MQ.
- Experience building Distributed / Service Oriented / Microservice-style and cloud-based architectures (Amazon, ECS, Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes) is a big plus.
- Experience in Core Java and J2EE technologies like JMS, JSP, Servlets, Spring, XML, XSD, XSLT, and XPATH is desired.
- Any experience with financial services domain and financial file formats (SWIFT/EDI/ISO XML/NACHA) preferred.
- Experience in managing and implementing successful projects. Self-motivated and goal oriented individual. Demonstrated record of initiative, adaptability and decision making.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
