The BP&A Lead Analyst will be a key contributor to the US Retail Banking BP&A team, in support of US Consumer Wealth Management. Main responsibilities include goal setting, financial plan build up coordination, sales performance tracking and reporting, and ad-hoc projects/deliverables in effort to increase productivity & profitability. The BP&A Lead Analyst will be responsible for performance tracking and business management reporting in support of Senior Management for USRB and US Consumer Wealth Management. The candidate should be able to build P&Ls, monitor performance, present results to field and senior management and be able to complete ad-hoc analysis, presentations, and special projects in support of the leadership team. Individual must be able to extract own data utilizing SQL via Oracle or SAS; advanced Excel & PowerPoint experience required; Tableau or other data visualization tool experience desirable.


Responsibilities:

  • Designs/analyzes complex reports to satisfy management requirements; manage data from multiple sources and communicate analytical results to large audiences.
  • Deals with complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact.
  • Support sales management and leadership with business review materials to oversee performance vs plan
  • Uses broad discretion in developing solutions for broad based business reporting issues; including the support in implementation of strategic business initiatives via reporting, analysis, and collaborative partnership
  • Leads reengineering efforts in business's methodology, strategy, and organizational goals.
  • Manages resource allocation and leads the work within a team/project to develop solutions for business reporting issues. Applies/demonstrates advanced understanding of processes, procedures, and policies for area supported.
  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of how own area and others collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business objectives.
  • Provides in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions. Influences strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel or provided services that have direct impact on the business. Persuades and influences others through developed communication and diplomacy skills with colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Financial Services preferred
  • Experience extracting data for analysis utilizing SQL (Oracle, SAS, etc.)
  • Strong experience with Excel & PowerPoint; including the ability to translate data analysis into clear presentations to deliver reporting/guidance to leadership
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience in leading & executing projects with attention to detail and emphasis on accuracy and quality
  • Must show ability to work proactively to identify opportunities to create additional value
  • Strong technical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Proven organizational and time management skills
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
