Responsibilities
The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst within Retail Risk Technology (RRT)is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis, programming activities and overall own the end-to-end implementation on Big Data or non-Big Data environments for the Retail Risk business.
The incumbent will closely interact with the Retail Risk business, other application developers and enterprise wide technology stakeholders responsible for related processes, and will excel in organization, program management, problem solving and guiding partner understanding with strong communication. RRT develops within the Global Functions Technology (GFT) organization. We are looking for a person who promotes challenge the status quo but considers all options and drives consensus with multiple stakeholders and to lead adoption of new technologies.
The successful candidate will be comfortable thinking strategically at a high level and diving deep in pursuit of solving Retail Risk business and technology problems to move the bank forward; and provide support to team members in development of technical, leadership and other professional skills.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements
- Utilize in-depth knowledge and skills across Applications Development areas to provide technical oversight across system and modules.
- Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
- Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint
- Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
- Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
- Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in enterprise Web application development using Java/J2EE technologies. (Must have knowledge and hands on experience in JAVA (Version 1.8 or above) / J2EE / Spring Boot Spring Batch /Microservices / REST / JSON / Hibernate.)
- 5+ years experience in JAVA (Version 1.8 or above) / J2EE / Spring Boot Spring Batch / microservices / REST / JSON / Hibernate.
- 5+ years experience with CI/CD build pipelines and toolchain – Git, BitBucket, Artifactory, Jira / Confluence / Collaborate.
- 5+ years experience Angular UI or React or similar UI.
- 5+ years experience in Oracle (PL/SQL).
- Knowledge in Big Data Technologies like Apache Spark, Hive, Hadoop.
- Well versed in Waterfall/Agile Development Life Cycle.
- Ability to contribute in high- and low-level system design (Sequence diagram, class diagrams).
- Strong communication skills- should be able to communicate effectively with business and other stakeholders.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
