Deposit Pricing Analytics Senior Analyst - Hybrid
The pricing team for Consumer and Small Business within US Retail Bank and Mortgage provides market intelligence, pricing strategy and analytics for Consumer Deposit and Small Business loan and deposit products. Core products include Checking, Savings, Money Market and Certificate of Deposit accounts. The pricing team applies a disciplined analytical decision process, and focus on driving profit and market share growth.
The Pricing Analytics Senior Analyst role is a position that generates the advanced analytics that develop the industry leading pricing strategies that have a substantial impact to earnings. The individual contributes end-to-end descriptive, statistical/predictive, financial, and prescriptive analytics to the deposit pricing process. Key partners include Product Management, Finance, Treasury, Technology, Operations, Decision Management, Legal, Compliance, Sales and Marketing.
Key responsibilities:
Support deposit pricing initiatives through data and financial impact analytics; work with product, finance, treasury and marketing partners to understand the impact to customer behavior and financials of changes in pricing and value proposition
Support the development of deposit pricing strategies in a dynamic test and learn environment; collaborate with partner teams on holistic deposit product and pricing offerings
Support pricing deliverables by providing data and analytical support along with rate change impact performance tracking
Deposit pricing team SME on all things regarding deposit data and the quantification of elasticity impacts
Development of internal deposit pricing analytical and financial forecasting tools
Generate and review the results of financial models, apply learning in portfolio and acquisition analytics and analyze impacts to determine success of pricing strategy
Develop reports on performance trends for consistency with profitability and growth targets; correlate trends with pricing actions; prepare and present materials for pricing committee and other executive audiences
Qualifications:
This position requires 3+ years of experience with financial services products/pricing, financial modeling and/or data and marketing analytics; Ideal candidates will have both strategic and tactical abilities and strong knowledge on banking product economics; experience with deposit industry data a plus
Degree in quantitative field such as finance, economics, business, MBA, MSA, statistics, applied mathematics, or similar preferred.
The inherent motivation to provide continuous process improvement using both business and analytical acumen
Strong Base SAS programing, SAS Macro, and SAS STAT (SAS OR desirable) skills. (Knowledge of Tableau, R, and Python a plus). Advanced Excel skills including building financial models
Strong ability to communicate / present ideas and plans verbally and in writing. A strong ability to translate complex statistical or analytical information into business actionable recommendations
Degree in quantitative field such as finance, economics, business, MBA, MSA, statistics, applied mathematics, or similar preferred
This position is located in either Charlotte NC or New York NY
