We are seeking an outstanding candidate for the Design & Execution team within the Valuation Control Group which is part of Finance Controllers organization. The Valuation Control Group (VCG) is an independent team of subject matter experts. VCG’s primary responsibility is to reasonably ensure that risk portfolios are fairly valued in accordance with applicable standards and regulatory requirements.

The VCG Design & Execution team is primarily responsible for defining and implementing the Firm’s vision of a best in class Valuation Control function.

This role is critical and influential in helping shape and drive process and technology change across the group.


In this position you will use and expand your experience and professional skills for the following responsibilities:

  • Support change management design, development, delivery and management of communications
  • Working alongside the broader VCG team to design and implement a Best In Class Finance function
  • Generate a strong partnership with Technology to deliver business tools and solutions to support Valuation Control function
  • Help manage stakeholder engagement by identifying and managing anticipated resistance and any obstacles
  • Delivery of business requirement and user-acceptance testing for Valuation Control programs, in line with Citi documentation standards
  • Inspire colleagues to work collaboratively to support learning and achieve superior results; leverage diverse styles and backgrounds to expand thinking, speed learning and improve effectiveness.
  • Appropriately assessing risks and issues related to the projects and ensuring timely and effective escalation
  • Ownership for process and systems improvements, incorporating key control alignment, Creating ideas and insight of how the Valuation Control process can be improved, simplified and operate more effectively

The ideal candidate for this position preferably possesses the following qualifications and skills:

  • 3+ years of work experience with Bachelor/Master’s degree, although exceptional candidates who do not meet this criteria may be considered for the role
  • Experience in business analyst role for complex system implementation projects, with the ability to interpret & implement regulatory guidelines & professional standards, and be able to complete tasks within tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
  • Finance and/or Product Control / Valuation Control experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with advanced data tools (e.g. Python, KNIME, etc) may be an advantage
  • Highly motivated with advanced analytical & problem solving abilities, strong planning & organizational skills, have the ability tointerpret & implement regulatory guidelines & professional standards
  • Excellent professional & interpersonal skills, able to deal with a range of senior/junior staff across a number of disciplines
  • Enthusiastic team player
