Our Internal Audit Department is looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to join the IA Treasury team in Budapest!

As a Senior, You will be responsible for leading and performing moderately complex audits and assessments of Citi’s risk and control environment within EMEA Treasury function in coordination with the Audit team. You will apply in-depth disciplinary knowledge through value-added perspectives or advisory service to help Citi reach business goals.

This new exciting role sits within the EMEA Treasury Internal Audit Team, reporting to the EMEA Treasury Internal Audit Portfolio Lead. It directs the timely delivery of high quality, value added assurance and audit reports for a portfolio of business activities, which meet the requirements of the Boards of Citigroup and Citibank, their affiliates, and of Citi’s respective regulators, globally.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead moderately complex audits
  • Complete assigned audits within budgeted timeframes, and budgeted costs
  • Monitor, assess, and recommend solutions to emerging risks
  • Contribute to the development of audit processes improvements, including the development of automated routines to help focus audit testing
  • Draft audit reports, and present issues to the business while discussing practical cross-functional solutions
  • Recommend appropriate and pragmatic solutions to risk and control issues
  • Apply understanding of internal audit standards, policies, and local regulations to provide timely audit assurance
  • Provide coaching to peers within the team
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • Prior experience in treasury, finance or risk management functions is preferable.
  • Effective verbal, written and negotiation skills
  • Effective project management skills
  • Effective influencing and relationship management skills


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
