In this position you will use and expand your experience and professional skills for the following responsibilities:

  • Work in close partnership principally with Country Risk, Country Finance and Quantitative Risk Services to create the ICAAP submission to the local regulator.
  • Project management of the ICAAP production with effective review and challenge to ensure a high standard of the ICAAP report in line with industry best practice. Act as a SME to senior stakeholders and team members. Drive improvements/implement feedback for future ICAAP submissions.
  • Ability to understand and challenge base and stress balance sheet, P&L and Pillar 1 and 2 risk numbers, capital planning and balance sheet modelling, risk appetite.
  • Coordinate and run the weekly ICAAP Working Group meetings across the key country stakeholders to ensure the required building blocks of the ICAAP document are completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Assist country stakeholders with adherence to internal policies, external regulatory requirements and control frameworks and governance.
  • Support the country stakeholders through the ICAAP Working Groups to ensure readiness for formal review and approval at the entity governance forums and by the second and third lines of defence.
  • Demonstrate a collaborative and motivating attitude to join forces with colleagues to deliver results and seek constant process improvement. The ability to standardisation and automate processes a key and highly desirable skill to bring to the role. Within the team help to drive the roll out of the new target operating model delivering industry best practice ICAAPs.
  • Potentially lead training for EMEA legal entities in respect of aspects of the strategic Target Operating Model and standards
  • Participation in ICAAP Communications to EMEA staff

  • Appropriately assess risks and issues related to projects and ensure timely and effective escalation.

    The ideal candidate for this position preferably possesses the following qualifications and skills:

    • 8+ years of work experience in financial reporting, treasury, risk management, accounting or system implementation roles
    • Specifically, experience with ICAAP and Stress Testing as well as risk management preferable.
    • Knowledge/exposure to risk management within a financial services company preferable
    • Technology aptitude: you will have to co-operate with Technology staff, we need you to speak their language
    • Ability to interpret & implement regulatory guidelines and align with Group/regional strategy on ICAAP
    • Effective project management skills and the ability to technically challenge ICAAP content
    • Strong stakeholder management skills, demonstrate ability to work well with seniors across countries and functions to support and deliver best practice ICAAPs.
    • Interpersonal skills, ability to manage stakeholder relationships across various levels of seniority using the English language
