Financial Reporting Manager – Credit Risk Team Leader

Prudential Reporting team within Finance is responsible for capital adequacy calculation as per actual Basel rules. Prudential team ensures the accurate monitoring and reporting of capital ratios to several stakeholders including senior management, business leads and regulators.

As part of the team of diverse and supportive professionals, the main tasks are concerned with credit risk capital requirement reporting for a large EMEA investment bank for a wide range of financial products closely collaborating with Technology, Business and Policy team.

In this position you will use and expand your experience and professional skills for the following responsibilities:

  • Oversee and review the production and delivery of the daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly returns for Credit risk team, ensure necessary control points are in places
  • Team management responsibility for a team of analysts, including work allocation, recruitment, goal settings and performance evaluation;
  • Overview of various reports that detail important aspects of the bank’s financials and risk profiles for the central banks, other regulators and supervisory bodies
  • Participation in efficiency and innovation projects on ad hoc basis by reviewing and developing current processes using advanced digitalization tools
  • Establishing and implementing standard control framework,; Maintenance and further development of key controls including reconciliations, variance analysis and mapping reviews;
  • Liaising with multiple departments of the covered countries (including Financial Control, Treasury, Risk and Technology departments) to resolve issues
  • Provide support to country Finance teams on an ad-hoc basis (e.g. audits (external and internal), regulatory inquiries)
  • Complete any additional tasks in connection with the role but not detailed in the current job description, as required by the direct manager, supervisor, or the functional head.

The ideal candidate for this position preferably possesses the following qualifications and skills:

  • 5+ years of work experience in financial, regulatory or risk reporting / auditing roles
  • Good understanding of Accounting & Finance principles and Financial Markets and products/Regulatory Reporting requirements
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Knowledge of Python / Knime is an advantage
  • University/College degree in finance / accounting
