Citi as the leading global bank is present in 100+ countries, 55 of which are in EMEA.  In each of these countries the Central Banks and other financial regulatory bodies require the timely and accurate reporting of key monetary statistics. CSC has a Regional process owner and advisor function for local regulatory reporting in EMEA. We are providing value added insight into numbers and excellence in reporting, Work closely across functions regions and countries on a daily basis and develop a deep understanding of the whole financial activity, along with the associated accounting, financial and full spectrum of risk reporting complexities.

What do you do as a Financial Reporting Analyst?

  • You will be responsible for the end-to-end Production & delivery of daily, monthly & quarterly regulatory returns and monitoring reports
  • Maintenance and further development of controls & reports including reconciliations, static data & variance analysis 
  • Ongoing review and development of current processes to increase efficiency
  • Liaising with multiple departments of the covered countries (including Financial Control, Treasury, Risk Departments) to resolve issues
  • Provide support to country Finance teams on an ad-hoc basis (e.g. audits, regulatory inquiries)
  • Check and ensure that procedures and policies are applied to adequately cover rules and regulations
  • Participate in future process migrations from new countries
  • You can participate in efficiency and innovation projects on ad hoc basis by reviewing and developing current processes and enhancing controls.
  • You will be involved in new system implementations and will work with Technology on enhancements to existing systems
  • Support standardization efforts and also work on ad-hoc projects to implement process improvement ideas
  • Develop an enquiring and questioning mind-set.

What do we expect from our Financial Reporting Analyst?

  • Strong financial/accounting knowledge
  • University/College degree in Finance/Accounting
  • Knowledge of capital and financial market products and Basel II/III are an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written English
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Control focus
  • Strong PC skills in Excel, Word. Training will be provided on other in house and industry standard systems used within this position
  • Highly motivated with advanced analytical & problem solving abilities 
  • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks within tight deadlines 
  • Enthusiastic team player
