Cybersecurity Cloud Network Engineer
Within Citi, the Global Infrastructure Defense Security Engineering Team is focusing on designing, developing, testing and architecting Citi’s next generation cyber security solutions across the globe.
As a key member of the Cybersecurity team, the Cloud Engineer will be charged with architecting, designing, building, software and services on the AWS/GCP platform, ensuring solutions are designed for successful and secure deployment in the cloud.
As a Cybersecurity Cloud Network Engineer you will
- Architect security solutions built on top of AWS/GCP
- Participate in projects to provide various security enchantments to an already built AWS/GCP foundation.
- Design and Implement AWS/GCP architectures and environments which connected the world’s biggest private network
- Engineer and deliver Cloud Native Security solutions to hybrid/public cloud deployments
- Participate in designs/projects which deliver Native Cloud Application Architectures to the firm
- define Enterprise Cyber Security Strategies, vision, roadmap and direction including critical products and solutions
- be responsible for Global Security Products such as Firewalls, Proxies, WAFs
- write and publish designs, architecture standards, test results and best practice guides for the global audience
- call out and identify risk and exposure as it relates to products and architectures from a security and threat perspective
- proactively participate in enterprise security work groups and teams to come up with innovative ideas and drive them to execution
- lead and influence a virtual global team, act as a senior subject matter expert for subject security technologies and disciplines
Ideal background
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Fluent English
- 'Hands-on keyboard' AWS implementation experience across a broad range of AWS/GCP services.
- Must have in depth AWS development experience (IAM, RAM, Landing Zones, Containerization - Docker, Amazon EKS, Lambda, EC2, S3)
- Strong knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD pipeline (GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory)
- Scripting capability and the ability to develop AWS environments as code
- Hands-on AWS experience with at least 1 implementation (preferred in an Enterprise scale environment)
- Experience with core AWS platform architecture, including areas such as: Organisations, Account Design, VPC, Subnet, segmentation strategies.
- Network visibility, VPC flow logs, SPLUNK, detective guardrails, tenant logging, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, eventbridge
- CloudFormation and third-party automation approach/strategy
- Network connectivity, Direct Connect and VPC, FW separation strategies, Cloud native Firewalls, VPN and Transit GWs, privatelink, Route53, Private endpoints
- Public cloud automaton tooling and scripting experience – CFn, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Jenkins.
- Familiar with Encryption, Logging, and Privacy/Security Protocols (e.g. TLS 1.2, ELK stack)
- Good knowledge of REST/SOAP/JSON web service API implementation.
- Experience with leading Firewall Vendor products (Traditional Firewall protection, mitigation techniques, IPS/IDS deployments)
- University / College degree in any STEM area or equivalent industry/technology knowledge
